Herobrine actually never can get deleted, he is no where in the source code, this means mojang kept trying and trying but no matter how hard he tried, nothing happened, just some code removed or added that did close to nothing, eventually they gave up realising he was no where in the coding

Actually, there is such a thing where codes would break, then pair up, making new sets of codes. I believe this is the reason how herobrine was created, out of random codes.
