@@ZOLTAR436 this is untrue. Ncuti Gatwa has implied he will be back to do more though there'll be a break in between filming as due to filming ahead they're able to take more of a break.

I hope he does more than the typical three seasons!

@@ZOLTAR436 this is a very assuming statement to make. just because they haven't started production on season 3 yet (they only JUST wrapped s2?) doesn't mean he's been kicked off already lol. considering the lesser amount of episodes and runtimes, i'd hope he stays much longer than 3 seasons just to make up for the loss of screentime, as well as having so many doctor lite moments in his first season.

My first memories of this show was watching it with my now (late) father when I was about 5 yrs old, about 1980 when Tom Baker was right in his prime. It was usually after a show called Monkey Magic (a show smeared with obtuse racial stereotypes upon adult reflection :)), then the Goodies with Bill Oddie, Tim-Brook Taylor and Graeme Garden which some here no doubt, will remember. Doctor Who was a Saturday night affair usually once a month, so it was a weekend family event back then here in Australia, and in Britain as the ABC and the BBC would air it simultaneously. This show has a deep history over the years, interlaced in real-life with the life-long careers of a number of renowned British/Scottish actors. It's main premise, that Time-Lords possess the technology/ability to breach Albert Einsteins's theory of special relativity (nothing with mass in the universe can travel faster than the speed of light as this requires infinite energy), and the second plot device, which coincidentally came after William Hartnell (Original First Doctor) fell ill, that Time-Lords can regenerate, is remarkable imagination. I highly recommend a watch of the Brian Cox (physicist) documentary "The Science of Doctor Who" kzfaq.info/sun/PLKEzuOOEQvYPEQHJ-nApnOOORvOxEriAf for those who haven't. It's great. Professor Brian Cox has the innate ability to explain deep concepts visually in a way that makes them extremely easy to understand. Eleven (Matt Smith) describes this hilariously as "like falling off a log, a really big log in 8 dimensions" :) in the above documentary. Any one season or incarnation of the Doctor, especially with NuWho and it's season-long overarching story type format, has to be considered against all the others. I swear I've watched Capaldi's (easily my favourite NuWho Doctor, also Missy, Eccleston second) run over 15 times now at least lol and I'm still seeing new easter eggs that pop out that link the story deeper on the rewatch. Linking to my original comment, Fifteen's current story really started with Twelve in "Heaven Sent" & "Hell Bent", which are incredible episodes of television (9, 10 and 11 was Time War). Ohila even says to the Doctor in Hell Bent "Come face me boy, you have have broken every rule you ever lived by" (including falling deeply in love & the rules of the universe itself)) and she was right. Twelve pushed so far and hard into the vast emotional abyss in the confessional dial (4.5 billion years) for Clara to bring her back in Hell Bent that he affected himself deeply, and thus also the universe. There's a telling scene in the beginning of "The Woman who Fell to Earth", the first episode of Thirteen's run, when Yaz as a police officer first sees the Doctor in the train and demands she disclose her name, Thirteen can't remember it freshly post-regeneration, but what she immediately remembers is that she was a Scotsman half an hour ago. Hard to forget. Thirteen turned hard like rock (coupled with everything that was lobbed at her), which led to Fourteen's emotional darkness (darkness being Ten's weakness (Time-Lord Victorious!)) which led to the horribly bad decision to risk releasing the Pantheon with the salt at the edge of the Universe (which he obviously knew was a possibility). And now the kind Doctor Fifteen has to ride on the tail end of this comet. The Doctor has made a number of very dangerous & foolish decisions this season due mainly to not paying attention (off with the fairies/faeries a little ;). His current companion however, is switched on like a laser-beam and emotionally present, which he needs. Millie Gibson is clearly headed for Hollywood. Oh, and Mr Davies or Mr Moffat if you or your talented staff actually ever read these posts when you're bored two words, NIMONS PLEASE!!!!. Scared the absolute crap out of me as a kid.

Christopher Eccleston was literally freaking out over the Dalek in his early episodes. Modern Doctors have always shown emotion.

@@DaBuffNerd 100%. Indeed, he fell apart at the sight of the Dalek. Eccleston was very glib and cocky until he wasn't. I'm presently rewatching NuWho from the start and I'm finding Doctor 10 slow going as he is always so intense and quite emotionally fragile. I love Tennant, but I can only handle the angst in small doses. I'm looking forward to a bit more lighthearted fun with Smith (at least in the early days, LOL).

Nah I don't think there is any significance to this, it's just a nod to Bridgerton as that show also features classical renditions of modern pop songs! It's pretty neat!

We've seen lots of instances of time being changed, and now we know shows like Strictly and Bridgerton exist in the DW universe and celebrities like Davina, it's not a wild thought to think that Billie does too - and if that is the case, Ruby may be a fan - so she could be influencing time subconciously...

I think this episode is set in the future and they're having a themed party. Since the trailer had them transforming into animal hybrids and Rogue here has a laser gun (though I guess he could also be a time traveller)

@@lbricks7631 yeah honestly, it kinda was. Sure there was a wacky villain and a musical number but other than that, the structure was pretty simple. Bad guy comes in, does bad thing, Doctor shows up, meets historical person/people, Doctor meets villain, villain is scary and overpowers the Doctor in the first encounter, Doctor is scared, eventually there’s a final battle, Doctor wins with the help of Historical character(s).

Most of season 14 has been written by one guy!

Great episode. Loved rogue but the relationship with him and the doctor kinda came out of no where and felt forced cause they both work well together but I rather see them both get feelings with time than just falling in love that easy within 2 hours, cause with river issue is that the doctor questioned too much on her then only trusted her cause she told his name and that was really much the reason they got married but we don't really know why river likes the doctor. So that is my only issue With rogue and the doctor they both work but was rushed too fast They both gotten to know each other but I don't think having them together this early was needed and felt like they just wanted to be lazy with it ig. Cause the doctor could've just be a mentor to him than a love interest that builds up to be a love interest Cause it reminds me of jack and how he flirts with the doctor and rogue just a grounded jack where the doctor in his life enjoying living he just instantly falls in love. Now hope they do this for both male and females the doctor meets in the future cause the dude fell in love too quickly in my opinion,.compare to the many partners he had over the years where he was forced into or had no chemistry. Great episode at the end of the day, I wonder if jack was the person rogue could been talking about

@@EMPERORSPROTECTION-TERRA4LIFE For real? Hardly seen anyone calling them the worst, outside of the typical shitheads calling it 'woke garbage'. The acting has definitely been the highlight so far, Ncuti and Millie are doing great in the roles, even if we aren't getting as much of them as we'd like. I'm liking how experimental and different some of the episodes have been too, 73 Yards especially. Dot and Bubble started off as one seemingly colourful and quirky thing, and ended really brutally and darkly. Hard to watch that kind of behaviour from Lindy and the Finetime lot, but it's something that's sadly all too real. I will admit the shortened amount of episodes compared to the usual 12-13 we had in the past is really noticeable. A few things feel a bit rushed, a little underdeveloped, and while I've enjoyed every episode, personally I don't think we're quite at RTD1 level of quality so far. But with Ncuti and Millie killing it every week, and plenty of fun and impactful moments throughout the series, I look forward to every new episode. Hope you've been enjoying it too, bud.

We have pointed out disney is trying to make as many kids gay as they can. Now your seeing what we are talking about. Why are they representing gay people as a majority? Why do they represent trans people as a majority? 90 percent of the country is straight. 0.1 percent of people get body dismorphia. So why would they cater only to that crowd? They want to make the kids gay and it's sickening to see. When they start saying kids can decide if they want sex maybe you will wake the F up. 😂
