I’ve always sided with Peyton. She’s been through more than what somebody her age had to go through. It was always Brooke who was escalating things and hurting others.

"She cares.. She cares!!" in classic Peyton manner, she still shows her love for Brooke despite what she's done. Their friendship was everything.

I just hate that Brooke is making excuses and keeps blaming Peyton!!!!

When Brooke insulting Peyton two dead mothers she was more of a bad friend than what Peyton did. Yeah she kissed Lucas twice when Brooke was with him, but what Brooke did was way worse. She did sleep with Nathan right when Peyton broke up with him and she insulted her mothers..so Brooke never had the right to be mad at Peyton in the first place

Plus Brooke knew Peyton and Lucas liked each other in season 1 yet she went after Lucas

Brooke got mad for Peyton KISSING Lucas but it was okay for her to sleep with Nathan after they recently broke up.

Peyton and Brooke owned the show and their friendship was epic. What went down with them was always rectified because they loved each other. I could care less about the times they were fighting-these gals were real and when Peyton left Brooke had no one to play off as the others were boors compared to this perfect pairing. Sophia and Hilarie are friends in real life-no surprise!!

Hilarie Burton absolutely kills me in this scene. Cue the waterworks!

When it comes to boys, both girls messed up so it's not hard to list their faults. However, at this point, their fight is about honesty. Peyton never wanted to mess up their friendship again so she decided to be honest about her feelings for Lucas. Brooke cut her off because of this and was really mean to her. Then Peyton discovers that Brooke had not been honest about sleeping with Nathan 2 years before. Peyton has a right to be mad - her best friend turned out to have double standards, thus undermining the friendship.
