I know they were laughing about it, but it’s really sad they felt only one would get cast, and that they felt they needed to appear completely different so as not to get mixed up for each another. This is why we need shows like B99.

Honestly that is something Latino actors worry about I just recently started submitting myself to agencies and honestly it is one of the things that worries me most that there aren't too many roles out there available for Latinas.

Really interesting interview! Particularly hearing about the casting, as a fan from the UK. I definitely feel shows like B99 are where the US really exposes faults in British shows - we're still so backward in this country, it's only really some of the kids TV that does diverse casting well in the UK. It's a huge problem. Love both these women so much!

ikno the funny thing is, English people tend to say the same thing about most American comedies. Cultural humour is very different. For example I love B99 but can't stand most other American comedies. American stand up comedians tend to be awful from a British perspective as well.

Honestly 2 things. Seeing that they when Steph saw that Mel was casted and she knew she wouldn’t get it because they were both Latina, it makes me so sad. We need more shows like 99. Also people being shocked about Stephs voice being different to rosas and here’s me not realising how different that it is because I watch those 2 girls way to often 😂

@@zimzimzalabim Tú estas dando por hecho que sus padres les enseñaron español cuando probablemente no fue así, muchos padres no enseñan su idioma natal por que no lo ven necesario ya que lo más probable es que sus hijos van a vivir en ese país toda su vida. A lo mucho saben el español que les enseñaron en la secundaria, es más yo creo que si subieran español tendrían bastantes diálogos en español, sobre todo en las escenas de sus familias o platicando entre ellas o en algunos enojos, creo que Andy Samberg ha dicho más palabras en español que ellas juntas xD
