I lost my 8 year old stepdaughter when her school bus was hit by a train. She used to drive me crazy running around the house singing this song. I would give anything to hear sing this song again.

I lost my wife in 2017. We used to go to a local bar in the afternoons. And sat under a neon sign above our table. I cry every time I hear this song. It is so real to the feelings. I still go there to the bar and sit at the table by myself, wishing I still had her company. I know she is wishing the same thing. We were married for 37 years before I lost her. My heart still aches for her, but I know she’s not in pain anymore. Linda, I still love you and can’t wait till we meet again. Hopefully under a Neon Moon.

Worked in the oil field of northwest Oklahoma hauling water not quite 10 yrs ago. Somewhere between 11pm and maybe 2am, big 'ol old school cowboy radio station in Okie City would play this just about every night. Thank God for that station, the music and THIS song especially. It very found a home in my heart and remains there to this day!

Dunn’s voice is immaculate, but Brooks back vocals are a work of art themselves. Giving just enough harmony without interfering with the lead vocals.

"There's always room here for the lonely" has always made my heart move a bit. Not because I am lonely personally, but because I understand that many people sitting at the bar are lonely in one way or another and that everyone can benefit from a kind word and a little bit of camaraderie.

I lost a dear dear friend to suicide on the 13th of this month. He taught me to cowboy chacha to this song back in the 90's. He and I had lost touch til about a year ago. Funny story for me and this song. I was putting up Christmas lights one year with this song cranked on the bose speaker. My son-in-law and I were having a great time and when we were done, the lights looked amazing. Anytime we wanted to remember that time together, my son-in-law and I would play this song. Some time later, we lost that house and had to move. When preparing for Christmas that year in our new home, I played this song. It not only took me back to the first time, but it became a new tradition. It reminded me that good times can be remembered, and created no matter where you are in life. Memories last forever. A thought, a smell, a picture, or even a song like this one can transport you back in time and warm the heart. I don't really think the words are as strong as the melody in this song, and yet, it speaks of carrying on no matter what. Ever since, I have installed Christmas lights on my house while playing this song. Kinda weird, but sorta nostalgic for me.

This sounds just as good as it did back in 92’. What I wouldn’t give to go back just for a little bit to do it again....

My favorite country duo by far. Ronnie has the perfect voice for country music. Love this heart wrenching song. I also liked the band Foxes and Fossils cover of the song.

And again Brooks & Dunn never disappoints.One of my favorites from these two. This one sounds really good and I especially enjoy the tunes in the background.

Grew up listening to the metal bands of the 70’s 80’s and 90’s. But I always had a special place in my heart for this old style country music.
