I want to help Lower Your Handicap by sharing Golf Tips that help to Fix Your Slice, Fix your Hook and hit Longer Golf Shots! Disappointed!!! The Thumbnail picture had me looking forward to seeing Mr. Barlow's plums lit up like the lights on a Christmas tree!! 🎄 Mr. Barlow was 100% correct on where to drop (left). When taking free relief, relief must include stance as well, and dropping on the other (right) side, he has to take a stance with a club, and the one-club-length is from where the club is touching the ground, which would have been much further than the point of relief on the left side.

There might be a local rule that allows a free drop from the box if it’s in the line of play, but normally this would not be the case. Anyway - Perez and Barlow are correct on the dropping procedure.

Honestly, the box was NOT hindering the swing NOR the stance, therefore NO relief unless a local rule says so, sorry...

Allow the drop but has to pee on the fence first. Pretty sure those are the livestock rules 🤣

Brora is indeed a special course. True links golf including the grazing sheep and cattle. I remember putting on the practice green and thinking to myself they must use natural fertilizer here. LOL The sheep where literally all over the course when we played. I can't wait to play there again. Congrats Liam for finally getting a win.

Glad you guys are promoting the golf course👍 It was so close to going under due to covid19. Hopefully your videos will encourage more visitors to this hidden gem and indeed other less famous Highland golf courses.

@@GolfMates Yep. I'm surprised nobody at the club mentioned it to you. Lots of golf courses in the area use the green fees of summer visitors to subsidise cheaper memberships for locals. Average wage here is a lot lower than other parts of the UK. This has obviously hurt clubs here more than others who charge members far more for membership

They had a real push for new non local members. 400 odd quid the year is fantastic value for annual subscription of a terrific course. This includes a reciprocal arrangement with Royal Dornoch where you can play the £200 a round championship course for £20😎
