Eddie Costa No, before taxes. I heard the dealership lost $1500 on it. Is brand new black/red GT1, and even came with maintenance package where oil changes and tire rotations are covered... beautiful car, super fun to drive👌🏻

Launch control works by pressing and holding traction control button and watch prompts on dash, left foot on brake and full throttle boom dump brake one your off to a 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds.

I love mine...base GT with the twin turbo. even being a base it has more features than a lot of cars costing more. they're making great deals on them too. paid $31k.

The large “Stinger” logo in the back is basically the only change for the 2020 model vs. the 2019 model.

When you put it in "sport mode" the side bolsters tighten as well. But yeah, small changes

Jacob Stenberg some of the last 2019 Stingers that were built had the large Stinger script on the back as well.

Hix Nada yes. Mine is a 2019 and it doesn’t rattle at all. I think they fixed a lot of the issues in 2019.

Not up on your car tech info, Smart Mode which is in both Kia and Hyundai/Genesis is a drive setting that adjusts the mode to match your current driving style. He was in eco when he switched to smart, so it was still running eco setting in smart mode. Had he hammered the throttle and waited for a second or two (dangerous in a big acceleration car) the smart mode will switch from eco to sport and open the throttle and turbo. 2019 veloster TT dct 1.6T and have played with this, I have found it will always have a delay of 1-2seconds before switching. In times when you need it to jump from eco to sport quickly is always move the shifter to manual. Those with heads up display and or colour regarding the mode will see this as it changes from green to red when switch to manual. With paddle shifters these cars do not like having it switched back and forth, it will switch when dropped manually into manual but if you then use the paddles to shift it will switch back to eco. So essentially the only true way to get that performance when needed it know by heart where that mode button is and either how many presses to get the desired mode. There is a massive difference between eco and sport in both acceleration and ride stiffness, acceleration in eco is limited for fuel eco, and sport will burn gas even when not driving hard. I’m further impressed by these Koreans and their engineering in recent years, mobis has been working hard to make a name for them and it has been paying dividends. Wrc Tcr etc it’s been a huge splash..

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Another Wow factor for people is that it's a "KIA", as popular the brand has become, the amazing warranty, there are those who still devalue the brand as a low base franchise. I own a Soul actually my third one I've upgraded twice and I love them. The Stinger takes them to another class of competition with other manufacturers. I will definitely subscribe to your channel and weigh in on your other reviews..

So i have a 19 Genesis G70 3.3 Sport Fully Loaded...this stinger is basically the same car just a bit longer with a hatchback design with a cheaper price tag 🙃. On another note i LOVE MY G70 Nothing on the road like it i got Cai/jb4 nothing touches me on the road lol..much love from nyc ! Also launch control is beast gotta try it...sport mode/hold traction control/stability control button until lights on dash goes on foot on brake hard while hitting gas let go of brake and bye bye baby ✌🏻. Great review i want you to review a g70 next n tell me what u feel is any different !

Looking at the website, another change seems to be that a limited slip diff was also added to the lower two GT trims, the GT and GT1. Previously, it was only offered on the GT2. Honestly, a GT1 with an optional power liftback would be perfect, but that's still a GT2 only option.

For Stinger's logo, we use E logo in Korea and Kia logo in foreign countries.

Nice review. I am pretty sure the v6 Stinger does not get 22\29 mpg. I think those are the mpg specs for the v4 version @ around 255hp. Thanks.

Steven Bennett it can get better with better fuel and perfect driving conditions. It definitely can get 30mpg I’ve done it many times on my Gt1

Don’t know if by now you made a decision yet lol. I had both, depends which charger you’re talking about. The V6 charger? Then definitely the Kia. Any V8 charger Hemi and above is another level. Pure muscle power and great sound.

They are great. Don’t go for anything less than the GT1 or GT2 if you care about any form of speed. Twin turbo 6 > 4 cyl

The Brembo brakes on the Stinger GT1 are either standard or an option, I can't remember, but Kia is pumping out some cool sporty sedans!

The stigma of its just a kia, hyundai or whatever car hasn't been around forever, should start going away with cars like this. I remember the hate for ALL the Imports. American made or nothing lol. Look at the way people are thinking now. It's kinda flipped. Kia/Hyundai back up their machines with best warranty as well.

@@animal482 these cars brands have come such a long way since the early days and continue to get better and improve. They are really starting to takeover here in Australia and it's proof as the closure of Holden and Ford Australia over the last few years. Two of the greatest Australian iconic muscle cars are now no more witch is a shame. But what you get for the value for money on a Kia and Hyundai is hard to compete with and the car trend is changing. Best for luck to America muscle hope it doesn't go down the same road.

Tough one! I'd probably go G70 even tho I've never been in one. But this doesnt really handle that well in the twisty turns. So I'd go for the more luxury focused Genesis

Correction: mpg is 17/25 and back seats don't fold completely flat. Smart mode switches between modes based on driver input. Please do your homework first.
