STORY
Nestled in the breathtaking Swedish countryside stands a charming red house, steeped in history and brimming with tales of a remarkable family. Originally purchased by a German immigrant family after the First World War, this house became more than just a home-it was a sanctuary for their dreams and passions.
But this family was no ordinary household; they were enthusiasts of the open road, their hearts pulsating to the rhythm of motorcycle engines. Every member was part of a tight-knit motorcycle club, their love for the ride matched only by their dedication to their community.
Led by the patriarch, Johann, this family embraced Sweden with open arms, building a life filled with laughter, adventures, and the unmistakable roar of Harley Davidson engines. Their commitment to charity and community endeared them to many, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those they touched.
Yet, as the years passed, the laughter faded, and the engines fell silent in 2008. But their legacy lives on within the walls of this yellow house, a testament to the love and memories that once filled its halls.
Join us as we step through its weathered doors, transported back in time to an era of camaraderie and shared stories. Let's embark on a journey through history and heritage, unraveling the tales woven into the fabric of this quaint Swedish abode.
Welcome to the legacy of the German immigrant family, where the spirit of adventure and the bonds of friendship endure, inviting us to explore the depths of their remarkable story. Don't miss out-subscribe now and join us on this unforgettable exploration!

Hi guys. Some info regarding the swedish things. Smör means butter. The small grinders are for allmond. The "iron rods" beside the front door are weight scales. The small bed is a "grow bed". Its expandable for when the child child grows. Therefore the wheels on the legs. Husquarna are genuine swedish. 👍

The small grinders are for ANY nuts, for example walnuts. They were common throughout Europe, for decades.

@@MirkaZemanova In Sweden they are called mandelkvarn, which literally translates to almond grinder/mill.
@MirkaZemanova

Hello, I was NOT disputing the name "mandelkvarn". I have merely said that grinders/mills such as in this video were used throughout Europe for grinding ANY nuts. My late mother possessed such a mill and we used it for grinding walnuts. I was fortunate enough to buy a similar vintage mill two years ago, and use it for grinding walnuts and hazelnuts. Almonds can be ground more successfully, in my opinion, in an electric grinder/mill, as the result (almond flour) will be finer.

Lesley, Danny, you have found an absolute gem. It looks like the family will be back any minute from shopping. I wonder if someone is looking after the place. There is virtually no dust accumulation on anything. Flies and bees are attracted by heat, and sunlight. I found places like that had a buildup like that on the sunny side of homes. My aunt and uncle, on their farm, had that problem, until they hung up the tacky fly strips.

The house was so pretty and warm like the family had just gone out for the day. It's such a shame they left so much behind especially the portraits of their family. Most likely they picked up and moved closer to a city or into the city to be closer to work or relatives. If they left way back in 1996 or about those babies are all grown up now. Their little home was left like a time capsule frozen in time as a reminder of how a family lived and loved in that home. Just amazing.

@@aheineman9138 You'd have to figure that the house has been used in several stages. The black-and-white portrait photos are not recent, they're at least sixty years old I would say. (I'm from Sweden myself and have seen rural houses like this one, so I can figure out some of the "period stamp" of various interior items and stuff.) The house may still be in use as a summer cottage, but it's probably decades since there were small children living in it.

@@louise_rose Yes, I agree. The lack of busy/child-related clutter suggests that this isn’t how the house was when the family supposedly “disappeared.” It’s been staged at some point, imo. I doubt the personal photos would be displayed if others are using the property. Even if it’s occasionally inhabited by their family then I would expect some additions/changes. It’s odd to me.i grew up with antiques in a 1905 house (in US) so find it fascinating see the Swedish equivalents. It’s a beautiful home. Swedes must be more reverent towards trespassing laws than elsewhere.😊
