Thank you so much. I am feeling much better. You are very right about forgetting to do these updates. I was working on the twin needles videos and flipping in the manual and saw the update software page and checked to see if there was a update and sure enough there was.

Thank you so much. As to your question, the operating system is very similar from my model to the SE725. The SE725 is just just the newer model

Turn your machine off and unplug it for a few minutes and it may reset the computer. I've never had that problem but being that their computerized sewing machines it could be that you just did too many commands too quickly and it locked up.

For some reason I haven't been able to respond to your question sooner other than liking it when you first shared it. It might have had something to do with the way I had my settings in a KZfaq page. I just wanted to come back and thank you for your comment

Please don't let it stress you out. It was literally so easy to do. Look in your manual for the index and it will walk you through it. You just need a blank USB stick. It was literally so quick that I think I was done within 30 minutes

I believe it was a stitch out quality and improved the precision of some of the built in stitches

Hello thank you for the video , I want to ask I just got the SE 725 and not an expert on computer issues so do I have to download everything that comes on the machine before I even start to look for patterns that come on it.

Check out your manual for reverse stitch sewing. If I remember correctly, if you hit it more than once it locks it into reverse stitch. I may be wrong because I do have 3 different machines so that is why I say check your manual for the reverse stitch sewing.

I really don't know. You will have to look in your manual for software updates and follow the steps for your model. Look for the website to see if there is an update for your model and then follow the steps I showed. I hope that helps.

I think it just updates to the current version. It was super fast.

You still have to go into the file when it's on your USB stick and you have it plugged into your machine. You go into the file and you select the format for the Brother machine which is the PES file. Are you opening each file and selecting it?

Ok, So I'm not familiar with Mac operating systems but I do know that some Sewing machines just are not compatible with them. This is what I googled, "How to update the Software on a Brother SE625 sewing machine using a Mac". I tried to share the page link but it kept giving me an error message so it' s possible that Brother blocked it. If you Google it though click the first option and make sure you follow the instructions exactly. Also, I'm confused when you say it's not letting you open it. Where are you trying to open it at? After you download it to the USB stick you just insert it into your machine and follow the instructions. That was all I had to do for mine. I even printed out the instructions so I could follow them after downloading the update to the USB stick. That way I could do it step by step once I plugged it into the sewing machine. I really hope this helps you figure it out but I'm sorry I can't help more.

Any type of USB stick you use for your computer. Keep it at a low GB level. Like a 2GB USB but don't go above a 32GB like I use because it will take time for the computer in the machine to load the design if the GB level is higher. Any where you buy office supplies will have them. I get mine from Walmart and Amazon
