So stupid to trust a cheater. So dumb to have a baby with her either. An beyond that if you're not getting a paternity test day one that is messed up. Mandatory paternity tests should be law before anyone's name can go on a birth certificate aside from the birth giver. Mistakes eh, no I'm sure that those were choices. Continual choices made by her. All the while putting his sexual health in danger. Could literally give you cancer if you were given a certain marker of HPV. There are also STI's that are resistant and immune to current treatments like new strains of Syphilis which are heavily resistant which you can read the outline for in the National Library of Medicine. Pretty sad, beyond that the father needs to stipulate some other things because if he dies first the mom will just move JAKE right in that house. She might be able to interfere someway as well with the will at some point. So all that needs to be buttoned up.

This. I grew up in a family that constantly disrespected me and called me stupid. It’s like when you grow up like that even if you grow a spine everyone around you is trying to snap it. I was lucky because I finally opened my eyes and grew a spine but it was a nightmare because I was fighting everyone while trying to grow into my own person and they fought so hard too! To them I was just being a b***ch. It was strange and unusual for them to see me fight back and stand up for myself. They felt it was their duty to put me back in my “place”. They actually got physical with me and only started to respect me when I called the police on my own sisters for attacking me. I went no contact for a long time and everyone thought I was out of their lives. They eventually one by one apologized because both of my sisters got married to horrible men because abuse was still normal in their minds. My marriage is still happy and healthy years later and it made them realize that what I had been saying about respect was right all along and they were the ones that were wrong. They’ve admitted it’s hard to be in the same room with my husband and I because he’s kind to me and he talks to me like a person and they’ve never had a man talk to them like that before. So yeah I get where OP is coming from. Because I feel like I could have very easily been in his situation.
