It's a shame that Patrice O'Neal died so young. He was so great. Him being on the Alex Jones show (before AJ went TOTALLY nuts) right before he died was a big thing. He showed his open minded ways and how intelligent he was. Alex Jones souled his $0ul a long time ago, but in 2010, Alex Jones wasn't nearly as bad and even at that time I thought AJ was legit. What a big loss for the comic and general world. RIP Patrice O'Neal 😥

And you’re still crying about it 300 years later. Imagine blaming your personal failure at life on something that never directly affected you. That’s pathetic. Also only 2% of people owned slaves and they were mostly Jews. But you’ll still blame white people that had nothing to do with it.

Patrice is definitely right about the president not being able to affect one group. Our entire country is set up that way. The founders hated the emotional rollercoaster of one-person-one-vote democracy installed safeguards and rails and checks and balances to mitigate the risk of a majority monopolizing political power and being able to oppress exploit a minority group the same way a King centuries before had... there is very little if any difference between a tyrannical majority and a tyrannical King... the main difference being the tyrannical majority can individually deflect responsibility for any potential atrocities/Injustice that for example like WWII Germany comes to fruition 5 years down the road. Anyways long way of saying that's why we have the Electoral College. Prevent the centralization of power and a couple cities from deciding every single election. Also, it's why we have the two-party political system. It's set up in a way that the political parties have to be big tents and open-minded and inclusive whereas in Europe you could have 20 political parties and they can afford to be uncompromising and hold radical / extreme positions if they want to. It's an impossibility in the two-party political structure we have. Every time it's happened the other party has won in a landslide

I love Patrice and I have to say, this is the FIRST time I've ever heard any marginally descriptive explanation as to why blacks feel the way they do about whites. But ultimately, for him to say that NOTHING has changed since then and NO progress has been made UNTIL blacks magically accept the history of this country seems like a vague and hollow excuse to internalize their own distaste for whites. If its not possible for us to solve YOUR issues then why constantly bring up the fact that its harder for you?! If we aren't even afforded the opportunity to empathize with you then what good does it do to talk about it? This is more of the same stuff I've heard SO often "Let me explain how black people feel, and now let me explain how white people feel, WITHOUT HAVING ANY GODDAMN EXPERIENCE AS A WHITE PERSON". Its a "you don't get it, but I do" mentality. Fuck it, you can't argue with a mindset that claims they know all points of view. Patrice thinks blacks aren't paranoid in this country but frankly I think its a huge part of the issue at this point.
@chucknastyness

This is why the black lives matter movement exists. We have never forgiven this country, and forgiveness is an emotional thing. We are protesting despite facts about police brutality statistics and there is no one like Patrice Oneal at the forefront to have a logical, meaningful dialogue about these subjects. This man was truly a genius.

totally agree.. he had some good points but whenever Opie/Norton said something that ALOT of white people feel.. Patrice says its not our business... okay, well then stop shoving it down our throats like it is our problem, especially to the people who want to empathize and understand your suffering.. sometimes feel like Patrice isn't looking for the positives as an excuse..
