It's one of the many songs composed by YuppeMetal (aka Yuyoyuppe), he's also behind Karate, Kagerou, the arrangements of Megitsune, Headbanger!! Night Of The 15 Mix (only the mix) and more new songs from latest album like Monochrome and Believing. _"Akumu No Rondo"_ (or Rondo Of Nightmare) combines not only heaviness with dark waltz and dope time signatures changes but also delicate and fragile elegance that makes you want to grab your inception kit and go to rescue this 16 yo queen from this nightmare. Temporarily title song was "Kill The Alice" so it is like Alice but instead of Wonderland she's trapped in a nightmare trying to escape and avoid some evil entity. Rondo is a musical form in which you can hear a repetitive pattern, an example of this could be the song "Blue Rondo a la Turk". The Kami Band is doing their second magnificent intro of the night with their own set called "Mischiefs Of Metal Gods". They become regular after this special live at Budokan 2014 and leaving baby-bones, from early shows, behind, shout-out to them thou. They're Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars, BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums, this time Leda Cygnus is the first guitar. This was the day (night) after the first live premiere of this song and she's dancing and performing like she already did a dozen times before, like a pro. Also she's showing some fierceness here dancing on that high dangerous mini stage with no wire and that's how she keeps winning everyone's heart. But not everything was perfect here despite their impeccable performance and sound, and the day before the girls face that dangerous challenge on the stage, taking their own revenge after coming back in 2021 to celebrate their 10 years and leaving those ghosts behind, fortunately. Like i said, YuppeMetal is the one behind this song and he took inspiration from "Protest The Hero - Bloodmeat" song, of course i recommend you to hear that blaster song. Thanks for sharing this wonderful SuMetal solo and my favorite along with "Akatsuki" (live at Budokan 2014 is another great choice) The other solos are great too and those are: - No Rain No Rainbow live at Legend S 2017, heavily blocked thou. - Amore live at Wembley Arena 2016. This is a compilation but is one of the better versions. This also has one of the biggest contrasts between the musical and vocal styles being possibly the heaviest musically from their early career. It also features Yui and Moa rather than just Su.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This is the song that I am longing for the revival with Su-Metal's matured rich voice. (Of course I love this version) "Rondo" is a musical form with a recurring leading theme. I can't tell how many times I have viewed this video. It is literally a rondo of happy dream for me. Kamis' (=Gods') super solos were excellent enough as a main event in the show, but once the 16-year-old Queen (as of 2014) emerged from the underground, she colored everything differently with her penetrating voice then turned Kami Band's plays into a ritual to summon her.

Great reaction. This is one of four Su-metal solos, two on each of the first two albums. The others are 'Akatsuki', 'Amore' and 'No Rain, No Rainbow'. Yui and Moa would get a break while Su performed those - Su would get a break when Yui and Moa performed one of their duets - they were called Black BABYMETAL for those and they also had two on each of the first two albums ('4 No Uta' or Song 4, 'Onedari Daisakusen', 'GJ' and 'Sis Anger'). The Kami Band intro here, as you saw, is called 'Mischiefs of the Metal Gods'. Just to confirm, in order of solos - Leda Cygnus (blue guitar), Takayoshi Ohmura (gold guitar), BOH (6 string bass) and Hideki Aoyama (drums). Also not a bad job with your pronunciations.👍 There can't be many 16 year old girls who could follow that intro and then just take over the whole stage and arena the way Su did. This is one of their darkest songs lyrically. I understand rondo is a musical term denoting a repeated theme - something like that anyway. I believe they borrowed the term for the title of this song as Su is caught in a recurring nightmare, being chased through the darkness by something she can't see. Eventually she hides, but it is still coming closer. Knowing there is no escape she asks that if she is to die won't it at least reveal itself to her. This was only the second time Su had performed this song live - the first time was the night before. This was early March 2014. They played two nights at the Budokan in Tokyo (think the equivalent of Carnegie Hall or Madison Square Garden - it is the place all Japanese artists aspire to play), Red Night and Black Night, becoming the youngest average age female band ever to headline there. They had just released their first album - they sold out both nights. They were back at the Budokan as part of their 10th anniversary celebration and played 10 shows over the first 3 or 4 months of 2021.

Nice one, thanks! Yes, this is one of Su-metal's four solo songs. Meanwhile, Yui and Moa were in backstage (or downstage in this case) doing their homework (allegedly). 🤣 "Rondo of Nightmare" is one of their darkest songs lyrically. It's about Su being trapped into an endless nightmare, without any chance to escape, where she's chased by a dark entity as she tries to run away and hide. Finally she understands there is no way out and asks the entity to show its real nature before giving up. The "rondo" in the name refers to the musical refrain form. The typical feature of any rondo is the return to the main theme after each digression giving the song a dark feeling of moving in circles without any possible way out. One of the best known rondos is Beethoven's "Für Elise". 🤘🦊

So you've watched the East Kami Band intro, it's time to watch the West Kami Band to see the differences and comparisons in their playing style dan the sound they produced. There a song called "Kagerou (with Kami Band Intro)" to see the West Kami Band show off a little bit. They both are very talented dan exceptional musicians for sure.

I do enjoy your presentations and you also have a great layout. Big artist area and plenty of room for both of you and then pan out for the comments. Well done. In their early days-Su was 17 here I believe. She had several solo numbers and Yui and Moa had several duets running under the moniker of Black Babymetal. Good observation again. Babymetal's music can be layered extremely densely. In order to achieve the chunky, rich sound they do use a lot of backing tracks. It allows for a richness and depth in sound it would otherwise be virtually impossible to achieve. Nice work once again.

"Kagerou" is another song you should add to the list if you want to see the same thing basically (entirely new song) but with the western Kami band have their intro moment and showoff and this time all 3 girls perform. (Drummer 🥁 goes crazy)

Nice reaction. This isn't the only time the Kamiband gets featured. Just look for videos that say with Kamiband intro or just with intro. Usually Babymetal has strong uplifting lyrics. This song is the complete opposite. It really is about a recurring nightmare. I hope this didn't happen to any of them. Chased through the night and all you can see is the moonlight flashing off of the fangs and claws. And Su sings it like the boss she is. There is a video of the song Kagerou which features an intro by Kamiband west. It debuted as a Su-metal solo (with the working title Tattoo) but is now performed with full choreo.

Su has 4 solos over the course of the first two albums: Rondo, Akatsuki, No Rain No Rainbow, and Amore. Moa and Yui have 4 songs without Su, called Black Babymetal, over the course of the first wo albums: Onedari Daisakusen, Song 4 (Yon no Uta), GJ, and Sis Anger.

⚡ / 🔥 😱 🔥 That was a sixteen year old Su. She premiered the song the night before, at Budokan Red Night. Rondo is easily in my top ten BABYMETAL songs. Su performed three solos that night. She did 'No Rain, No Rainbow', followed by 'Akatsuki' earlier in the set. Yui and Moa (as Black BABYMETAL) did two songs without Su ('4 no Uta' and 'Onedari Daisakusen'), and of course they all performed a bunch of songs together. That Black Night Budokan concert from March 2014 is still one of my favorite BABYMETAL concerts. Not only is Su brave enough to sing and dance on a tiny elevated platform in the dark, but she is also fearless enough to follow those amazing Kami Band solos.

Awesome! This is always an epic performance. The Kami East has supported Babymetal since 2012 for encores only, and starting 2014, for full shows. Kami West was added in 2019 to assist with increased touring, and by Apr 2023, Kami West became the sole backing band. Therefore, all the newer stuff you see are with Kami West. Check out "Kagerou" for a more mature Babymetal with Kami West intro. There is a newer and better sounding performance, but unfortunately, there is nothing on KZfaq yet that won't be copyright nuked (the show just happened in March, and the official BluRay isn't releasing until Jul 10th).
