If you speak to any REAL k-pop fan whom is S.E.A. they'll tell you youth and teen groups lauded with pea-doe-fill-ya are as abundant in Korea as it is Japan. One teen asian kpop fangirl told me blackp!nk is "an old girl's band".

@kenta kamiki Calling them tribes is offensive and an outdated term. Calling it tribal is also offensive as both terms were used by colonialist to distinguish them (tribes) without culture/structure to Europeans with culture/structure. So if you are going to call something out for cultural appropriation at least use correct terminology otherwise you sound ill-informed and don't know what it actually means. Just for a note many ethnic groups of Africa are not landlocked by a nation, you find Tswana people 80% of Botswana across Southern Africa, which I think you are referring to as the dance which you claim was stolen.

With the exception of Ga In, these women are in their thirties, 33/34. Ga In is 27/28. They were all born late in the year. Ga In and JeA are still active in the industry, collaborating with other groups and members producing music. I can't imagine KPOP without BEG. They've still got IT, and "Everlastings" will never forget.

Whutttt. There's a video on that. I guesss it's been so many years and maybe it's not on youtube anymore. There were doing their own makeup before the shoot in the white room. One of them draws on the eyeliner. The next one looks and draws on thicker. The donsaeng then looks and goes " just because im the youngest doesn't mean i can't get the attention" (something like that). And she drew on a thicker eyeliner. That's how the thick liner came about in the video. They were actually telling this story about this mv. Damn im not a gpod story teller. It doesn't sound as funny as it should🤣 im gonna search the video and hope i could find it and link it here.

I discovered this song 2 years ago from a kdrama I was watching, and have been listening to this ever since. Two of my friends did their final high school report about the evolution of kpop, and I remember them including this song in their report, because it was just so iconic😊

Most of us came here after watching DC but guys you should know BEG were the ULTIMATE woman group back a decade ago. When everybody was doing oppa stuff they were like I will lock you and beat u up. Btw the dance is called the arrogant dance

i remember back then.....all kpop idols was dancing to BEG's Arrogant dance...like all of the shows i've watched they danced to this...it was so iconic...i missed JoKwon dancing to this too...lmao...it was GaIn and JoKwon who introduced me to BEG & 2AM because of WGM....memories ^^

くろばんKuro i know right. It was hell trying to find subbed videos trying to understand what they were saying. Kpop was a part of my teens and im glad i found it at a time where it was still unhinged and deemed as an anomaly. There was less or no competition with other foreign fans and finding new videos in good quality and subbed were just blissful happiness. Now its just about views and awards. The fun in kpop has been sucked out.

There are plenty of kpop girl groups that have the 'image' of female empowerment but its more like a concept since its actually men that give them that image so its not purely genuine.
