Embark on an adrenaline-pumping journey with me as I tackle the rugged trails leading to Brown Mountain Dam, nestled in the picturesque Angeles National Forest, just a stone's throw away from the bustling city of Los Angeles. Built amidst the turmoil of World War II in 1942, this historic dam stands as a testament to human ingenuity and determination.
Join me as I navigate through the breathtaking wilderness, traversing through lush forests and rugged terrain, on an 8.3-mile long out-and-back hike that promises excitement at every turn. Along the way, I encountered six challenging stream crossings, where the water levels sometimes rose to chest-height, testing my courage and resilience.
With each step, I immersed myself in the serenity of nature, soaking in the sights and sounds of the forest while relishing the thrill of the adventure. As I approached Brown Mountain Dam, the anticipation heightened, and the sight of this monumental structure left me in awe of its sheer grandeur.
In this exhilarating KZfaq video, I invite you to join me on this unforgettable journey, as we explore the beauty and history of Brown Mountain Dam. So, lace up your hiking boots, and let's embark on an epic adventure together, discovering the wonders that await in the heart of Angeles National Forest.

Hey no actually it’s just the river but the dam is actually a debris dam. It blocks or almost filters the water from logs and debris!
