⚠️ 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗗 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢? If so, I'm sorry that happened. I know it's awful to be startled by a mid-roll ad. I have them disabled on all of my content, but KZfaq has a confirmed bug that causes them to play for some viewers anyway. It's not just my channel - this has been a problem across the entire platform since at least mid-2022. KZfaq's engineers know about the bug and what causes it to happen, but unfortunately, they have not provided any information about when (or if) they will fix it. The bug tends to manifest as a 30-second mid-roll ad played around the 6-hour mark, and it disproportionately affects iPhone and iPad users. I have been investigating this for a very long time, and I go into more detail about my findings here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pMqViLmYv7PMYY0.html If you are affected by the bug but still want to access my content, I recommend that you view this video's description and try one of the alternatives I have provided, such as Spotify or Rumble. If you want to stay on KZfaq, you'll find that I have live stream versions of my most popular content, and they tend to be safe from the bug - but not always. The only guaranteed way to never get ads on KZfaq is to subscribe to KZfaq Premium, which I understand is not an option for everyone. As it turns out, the reason I do not need to play ads is because my channel makes the vast majority of its revenue from KZfaq Premium. You are welcome to reply to this comment with information about what happened to you. Historically, it has been helpful for me to know what type of device you are on, which app or browser you use, the approximate timestamp of when the ad played, and what company/product/service the ad was for. I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter, and I'm sorry there isn't more I can do.

if I didn't know any better, I'd say KZfaq put a mid-roll ad in it to spite the title. What's worse, the other night, after the ad was over, it didn't resume the video. I came back next morning to several dialogs that read "do you want to continue running scripts on this page?" I thought my BT speaker battery had died or something

@@spectraldeviant Yeah, I specifically started calling them "No mid-roll ads" instead of "No ads" because there are pretty much guaranteed to be pre- and post-roll ads now. I don't want to be a liar. So, now, wait... what were you playing this on? Because getting weird script errors is something else altogether. 🤔

I've thought about it. I held off on making green noise because it has a definition, but it isn't "official". In the end I relented and made it anyway, which was a good move. Yellow noise, however, doesn't even have an unofficial definition... there doesn't seem to be any agreement about what it is. There is no noise profile that's been declared to be "yellow". If you find some, just know that whoever put it together made it up... it's just noise that someone called yellow for fun. 🤷‍♂️
