The Browning 'X-Bolt" Hell Canyon Speed in 28 Nosler is a 7mm Remington Magnum on Steroids! The rifle performed well and is accurate enough to take hunting shots out to 600 yards as tested.

The functionality of the button on the bolt is so that you do not have to put the rifle in the "fire" position to unload a chambered round. Owned an xbolt hog stalker .308 since 2014. Very accurate and reliable.

I have Nosler Mt Carbon in 28 Nosler using 175 grain Nosler Accubond long range. It's simply a stellar round. I had a 7mm RM but am glad I made the step up. The energy and balistics downrange are the reason for the 28 Nos and its been an absolute joy from the get-go. I agree with the Browning bolt knob. A friend has that rifle in 300 RUM and while its shooting sub .5" MOA at 100 I prefer both the knob and safety system on my Nosler rifle.

I think I would choose 28 Nosler and hand load all my ammo. I think the 28 has more potential for accuracy than the 300 W mag. Factory ammo is fine to see if your set up works but I like to fine tune the rifle and ammo. I like what Browning is doing.

@@nernamez5946 hard to compare the 2 for me as it is 2 different shooting techniques. The recoiled is easily manageable with the stock muzzlebrake. It shoots like anything in the ultra mag category, there is definitely recoil but its more of a smooth push than a violent concussion.

Good pickup mate, The mounts are not the correct ones for the rifle and the front mount has actually been cut in an attempt to give clearance for the empty shell. I had one complete fail to eject only when shooting off the bench which was shown, however is it the rifles fault when the incorrect rings were on it? I can’t say for sure hence why I can’t confidently comment on that until the rifle has the correct rings. It was supplied like this

Not even in same ball park imho....tikkas are great don't get me wrong but there just a knock off sako...they will shoot great and last ...just as far as fit ..finish ...and over all quality in craftsmanship and quality parts a browning wins every time...the old A bolts and x bolts are amazing guns...as a die hard browning guy I was very disappointed in the new Ab3...browning really cut corners and went cheap on that gun...it's a disgrace that people call that gun the Abolt 3 ..because it is nowhere close to the quality of the original Abolt and Abolt 2.

The 28 Nosler is a Remington 7mm RUM and yes it is a Fantastic Caliber . When I put my 7mm RUM next to a friend' s 300 win , the 7mm RUM is the Bigger Bullet easily and it was more accurate too .
@Joel_Unbound3 жыл бұрын
28 Nos is not a 7mm RUM. The RUM is still hotter - the 28 Nos is a .284 bullet in the same jeffries case but the Nos uses a shorter and necked case and a 35 degree shoulder. Also I'm not quite sure what you mean by bigger bullet. Just wondering as the overal mass of the .30 cal bullets are bigger than all the .284 that said the .284 starts to out perform the 300 WM at distance.
@MrGuitars83 жыл бұрын
@@Joel_Unbound , when I was target shooting with a friend who has a Savage in 300 Win. The 7mmRUM is just a little bigger when you stand them next to each other that is all I meant by that . BUT all they did to make a Nosler is shorten the bullet to a standard length bullet . But if there was no 7mm RUM you would have no 28 Nosler , they shortned a 7mmRUM bullet to make a 28 Nosler that is all I am saying , and it's true.
