Instead of just letting Revit's Browser Organization sort your Sheets by the Alpha/Numeric default... you can make your own Groups!
I created SHEET DISCIPLINE as a parameter and then used it to organize the sheets. You can use any parameter you want. This Revit Tip will guide you thru the process!

Thank you Sir, I found your channel to understand Symbolic Lines. Your long videos are very helpful to fully grasp topics in easier-to-digest explanations, and a couple of jokes on the side lightens the mood!😄😄😄

I second that! I also want to learn how to convert survey points to Revit Topography. Do we used Excel, AutoCAD or just Text programs?

I think the quickest way to get survey points into Revit topography is with an AutoCAD file. If the points are truly 3D.. like from civil3D. I can make a video!!!

Sir..what is shop drawing and As built drawing ??
@123rockstar2010
@123rockstar2010 2 жыл бұрын
I learned Dynamo for Revit and it is very useful for "repetitive tasks." E.g. Interior design, 3D Model design and Architecture design. As a Civil Engineer, it is less important. This would be too easy for programmers to understand. However, it is essential to learn this AFTER having a basic and advance Revit Trainning, since the Dynamo for Revit is "easier" to understand knowing eg. Families, Types, Parameters and etc.

SHOP DRAWINGS are drawings that different sub contractors submit to the Architect for review of what they plan to supply on site to build their part of the building. AS BUILT DRAWINGS are the submitted Construction Documents that also have been updated during construction to reflect the actual way it was built.

Dynamo is worth learning (as 123rockstar2010 says) after you have a great grasp on Revit. It’s mostly for repetitive tasks.

Will the sheets in a linked consultant model be manageable in the primary model's Project Browser?, and will Revit create Sheet List(s) from linked consultant models?
@miketaylor8211
@miketaylor8211 2 күн бұрын
no and yes. No to the ability to manage the sheets in the linked file from the primary model's Project Browser. You can't even see their sheets. Yes to making a schedule that will 'mine' the data from the linked file. You can pull all the information you need from the linked file (sheet number, sheet name, etc.).
@garagedancer122
@garagedancer122 2 күн бұрын
@@miketaylor8211 So one can created a Sheet List of linked consultant sheets? Which is usually all that's needed - thank you
@miketaylor8211
@miketaylor8211 2 күн бұрын
@@garagedancer122 Yes... there is a little checkbox on the schedule creation dialog for 'including linked files'. This brings any data with the same parameter from the link into your schedule!
