@@chelly2517 most of the kids ripped through the gifts not even knowing what they got. There were only a few of them that said thank you. The true meaning of Christmas is celebrating the birth of are savior not multiple gifts that will more than likely get lost throwen away or never played with.

Maybe she asked them what type of slippers they would prefer since she got him moccasins and not slippers? Dayshawn seems to be really into his shoes so perhaps she knows he will actually use his on a daily basis and it’s not just a whatever thing. My mom did the same sort of things with my sisters and I cause she knew what we would like and she didn’t mind buying something of quality if it meant we used it.

She said his is different because she could not get his size in the ones like everyone else.

@@DoughertyDozen As we’ve just had Christmas and your children had lots of wonderful gifts, did you not think it might of been nice to do some gifts like this for homeless people or people in shelters? Think how much more appreciated these items would be to someone who has nothing! Your children live in a loving family home with heating on whenever it’s needed. Brrr baskets should be for those who really need it! Perhaps after your children receive theirs you could encourage them to think of others and perhaps buy some hats/gloves/socks etc for some people in need! Just think what a wonderful life lesson that would be, especially for the younger ones! Your children want for nothing which is amazing, but letting them know it’s not like that for everyone would be great! Just a thought as I know you have given to charities in the past and with the current cost of living crisis, help for charities is needed now more than ever! Sending best wishes to you all. Xx

They have a washer and dryer but are in the process of getting hooked up to the city sewer lines. They do not have the septic capacity for laundry right now.

Maybe get them a craft they can do for their age...a new stainless steel water bottle with their name on it ~a cute cookie ~a cute little throw, a disney movie or a cute valentines day stuffed animal or you could make valentines day movie night baskets, new jammies, cute throw, popcorn, a stainless steel water bottle with a straw their name on it, make a punch that they would all like ~ new coloring book with some crayons~ put a thing of their favorite candy or snack ~ you could use a cheap little basket from Dollar tree (something they can reuse to put their hot wheels or barbie shoes in or even keep their crayons in)...the possiblities are endless

People send them stuff all the time maybe someone will send them a label maker

My kids use everything until it’s worn out and broken😅 They’ve repurposed their gift baskets into sand/mud toys, pool/water toys, sports storage etc. These ones seem really durable so hopefully they last🤞They look really nice in their bedrooms.
