Blown away. Seriously blown away. Unique design, aggressive look and feel, near flawless execution, and a hell of a lot of fun... the Buwaya is pretty damn badass. Follow @kombou and @brrknives on Instagram

In the Philippines, Buwaya is a Filipino word for crocodile. I noticed that the grind on the handle looks like a raw of osteoderm on a crocodile's spine. I also noticed that the blade is shaped like a crocodile's head with eyes. If you fold the knife, it looks like a sleeping crocodile with its tail bent around its body. It looks really beautiful yet badass.

Picked up a Buwaya about 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it! Wanted since I first laid eyes on it at Blade Show. I was lucky to have a good friend with a knife store who stayed vigilant in finding one for me. Another great Polish (lives in US now, Brooklyn NY) is Michael Zieba. His work is phenomenal, I’ve got an S5 mini by him. He’s a protege of Jason Knight

Polish knife makers are the best! People like Herman Knives, Brr Knives, Poltergeist knifeworks or Ostap Hel make excellent folders while Libra Knife Works, G custom or Maciek Torbe make outstanding fixed blades. These are just a few, but whenever I attend any knife exhibition or show in Poland I am left breathless. #reppingthenation

I just checked out their website. Yep, double the price is a LOT for a customized finish ... but well worth it! And there's plenty of knives out there that aren't nearly as beautiful or well made at that price. Plus I'll bet it has a high WAF. ;-)

That knife is beautiful. if you don't mind me asking how much? I couldn't find a price when I went to look.

I did go into detail on that in the video but, $800 base, add options and you add to that price.

Really like the look of the knife. Thin grind. The only thing that ruins it for me it the top of the grind instead of transition to the flat it has a shelf flat area that doesn't make sense to me it would catch on stuff while cutting. Other than that it looks great.

That's one of the things that makes it unique, and something I fell in love with

+Jim Skelton I do think it looks cool as hell I just can't get behind features that take away from performance cutting wise just for looks. But we all like different things. 👍🏻👊🏻

$800 seems fair considering it is basically a small unique batch of knives. Can't believe you paid almost double for a satin and anodizing though. I could of done that for you for $100.

Very pretty, but $1600 for a CNC made knife... from Poland? I’m not saying it’s not worth it just because it’s made in Poland, but let’s keep things in perspective. With a custom knife a lot of what you’re paying for is the makers time, right? If someone in the US charged $1600 for that knife, let’s say there’s $500 in materials (that’s being generous because it’s just Ti and steel there), and 25 hours of labor (again generous since handle and blade are both clearly CNC’d). That works out to $44 an hour for their time, which is acceptable. But, in a country where the average income, cost of living, standards, minimum wage, etc, is a fraction of what it is here, making $44usd per hour is like someone here making over $200 an hour; and I’m pretty sure any knife maker will tell you, they’re not making anything close to that.
