Dude, let me clarify; I agree with you, Bruce is awesome, and so grossly underrated the collective guitar community should be charged with negligence! I once saw a video (back in the Kazzaa days/early 2000s) where he and Paul Gilbert were playing alongside each other. Paul had a Strat look-a-like, and Bruce had a V-cut. I don't know if it was Bruce's unique personality that commanded the lions share of attention, but he sure earned it because his fingers were all over the fret-board, while Paul just played easy in the back. My little brother and I were saying, "who the hell is that dude? He's blowing Paul Gilbert away!" I guess the point I am trying to make is it's quite possible that with two virtuosos', there was probably too many professional differences. That's what I like about Dave Mustaine. Dave is awesome at both rhythm and lead, but he was humble enough to know that if he hired a "lead specialist" (Chris Poland), and devoted himself strictly to supporting the rhythm section, then the band will twice as strong, and Dave is among the best rhythm guitarists' on Planet Earth (he can alternate pick power chords almost as fast as a lead guitarist can pick single strings!) Sorry for rambling. Rock on Brother man! \m/
