Lee Jun-Fan, known popularly by his screen name Bruce Lee, was an American born actor, martial art legend, movie director and producer, who grew up in Hong Kong but became famous worldwide after entering Hollywood. Lee started off his acting career as a martial art action hero in Hong Kong but when he realised that his unique talent had made his movies a big hit worldwide, he went to the United States and started producing movies there. He was one of the world’s biggest stars in the 1970s and became a symbol of Chinese nationalism due to the nature of his films. Some of his most famous films are Enter the Dragon, The Big Boss, The Game of Death, Way of the Dragon and Fist of Fury. All those films made him an actor who also became a cultural icon. On the other hand, kung fu as a martial art became hugely popular all over the world as people flocked to training schools in droves. Bruce Lee’s untimely death further made him a legendary figure and cemented his place in history.
