The Fifth Estate

6 жыл бұрын

Bruce McArthur stands accused of six counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of missing men from Toronto's gay village. McArthur has yet to enter a plea in court. Now police are looking at his activities as far back as the 1970s, when fear stalked the community in the wake of another spree of unsolved murders. Toronto Police Det.-Sgt. Hank Idsinga is the head of the Bruce McArthur investigation.

Sargent detective Hank Idsinga is one of the most informed persons, in Canada, to give any kind of update on McArthur and his monstrous crimes. This detective is very good and very concise in his statements, I'm sure his parents are very proud of him. That been said, I realize that the team working behind him, are very good professionals. This guy ( sorry, detective) is a clear reflection that some ( unfortunately not many) are to their job properly. Solving cases like these takes a lot of knowledge of human behaviour. Unfortunately we have many police officers that are in there to take advantage of their good salaries and their pensions. It is refreshing to see real professionals at work. Just a silly comment from an old guy who's been around for three generations in three completely different countries. Greetings from Toronto.

neeluswar Don't feel so. It is the neglect of the same department through the 1970s and 80s that led to the neglect of murder cases of several individuals from the LGBT community perhaps leaving a serial killer on the prowl.... If they claim the benefit of cracking it. They should take the blame for leaving the LGBT community to be murdered too....

Life in Canada just means they'll hold you for 10-15 yrs until they see an opportunity to release ANOTHER serial killer. Our system likes serial killers. They like to set them free to reoffend again and again.. They'll Never admit it, but if you watch closely, you'll find the truth in the actions of our government. Loopholes designed specifically with their fellow psychopath in mind. So even if the odd good cop does their job, a life sentence only means 10-15yrs. They view it as human culling. They allow these killers to roam freely. We the public don't know the half of it. We're kept from the truth in most instances. Unless the truth is leaked, at which point they offer minimal information, usually not indicative of the truth..

I will say Canada has some sick twisted individuals over the years BUT they also have some brilliant investigators that have put the pieces of these cold cases together in a way that's not usually done. Bravo to the investigators, interrogaters, RCMP, and everyone involved in bringing these horrifying cases to a close and providing answers needed for the poor families that lost their loved ones. The way they took down Paul Bernardo & Karla H, Russell Williams, Luka Magnotta, Michael Rafferty & Terri Lynn Mcclintin and many more.was brilliant

solving this case was much easier then you think, the last victim went missing, the police got his phone details and saw the last contact he had with someone on his phone was stating to meet the serial killer from the dating app, then all of a sudden his phone never turns on again.

This is another loophole that affords the most degenerative offenders a way. He's basically saying that if you hide the body well enough, we will in essence ignore the whole case and it's deemed missing persons, when in actuality this was a murderer. Like the MMIW.. It's all fun and games until it's You&Yours.. Humanity is in serious trouble when we have enough evidence to believe our justice system supports the most violent offenders, and further victimizes the family (NO JUSTICE) Life isn't 10-15yrs. Who lives 10-15yrs? A very unfortunate soul, that's who.. Life should be life!! 100yrs...

This detective, is clearly a thoughtful, caring person. But I hope he eats healthier, he seems to fit the classic profile of some detectives, they look out for the best interests of others but do not take care of their own health. I made this observation just looking at the Mr. Idsinga's face, which is very pleasant, but round with dark circles under his eyes...however when I saw a full profile photo of him he does look a healthy/trim weight, thus some of my observations I think were also from an overall belief that detectives do not always take good care of their health, verses observations directly of Mr. Idsinga, but he does look exhausted. I hope he is eating a heart healthy, type two diabetes preventative diet ie. plaque in arteries starts forming in early teens largely from eating red meat, deep fried food like chips and high density sugars which increase insulin which damages the walls of arteries. Chronic diseases are often preventable, the key is healthy diet, reg. moderate aerobic exercise, largely a plant based diet, remaining hydrated, maintaining a positive/happy outlook on life, reduced stress or healthy stress ect...A good friend of mine is an RCMP officer she used to eat unhealthy but now eats much better, there is a police culture of unhealthy eating, but it is fortunately changing.

Your welcome, excellent to hear you take really good care of yourself inc. exercise which is fun like road biking and are a motivated positive role model for other police officers, acting as an example yourself of pro-active, dedicated self care as much as you care about all the people you help. The new Cdn food guide's proposed guiding principles as it is not yet released is for plant/vegetarian based as well to reduce risks for heart disease/strokes/cancer/improved animal welfare too. People whom are in helping professions like yourself sometimes as they are compassionate ect.. become very involved with helping others (sometimes rescuing when a person still needs to learn how to care for themselves...) so much they can lose sight of their own self worth and self care. Lucille Ball said, "Love yourself first and the rest will fall into line." When our cup is full we have the energy to share with others, without depleting our own health and reserves. All the best.

+Brandt McCall As an RN, I want to say that the detective does not look obese or in any danger of sudden death... He is a big man, that doesn't mean he is not healthy... He does not sound like a smoker either. Remember that tv and film really DO make a person look many kilos bigger.

Just so you know, I do not and did not see you as an obese overweight or unhealthy person at all! You seem to be a tall, large man, but not overweight! The person above is just a worry wart and is just stereotyping. If you can bike 7000k a year you are definitely healthier than most of the population. In addition, the way you present yourself and how articulate you are, shows you're doing well! They always say biking increases oxygen and makes you think better in the long run-you are proof. (I mountain bike and see the difference it makes in my career and productivity too).

This Detective ordered an illegal search warrant on my home, damaged and destroyed over 12 k in personal property, he also ordered SWAT members to beat my son and intimidate him through physical tactics, as he was not a suspect, not charged at the time nor armed. When I sued him, he lied and his lawyer begged me to drop the lawsuit, as it would limit his promotion ability. He and 21 other lower Detectives from 22 and 32 Division framed my son!!!! He and others lied, falsified text messages, phone calls, failed to charged an individual who confessed to the murders in a case, failed to put a female witness to the murder confession into protective custody, he and other Detectives and the prosecution psychologically intimidated the female witness and discredit her on personal issues not relative to what she heard. This Det. allowed Swat and police to beat, choke and intimidate my son to the point of not being able to breathe, a choke hold. He ordered Swat to make my 14 year old daughter sit in broken glass for two hours, pointed machine guns on her, as they beat my son, causing him to suffer a concussion. This Detective Idsinga allowed his colleague, Detective Paul Warden to lie to a young ladies parents and a close friend, that my son had killed her, imagine telling parents a lie like that, to get them to go along with a story, knowing the personal trauma he caused, using such a lie and passing it off as good investigation, knowing my son and his girlfriend were on a private vacation in another province, He is filthy, corrupt and dirty as they come, he definitely lacks the potential to advance further, he and many others needs to be in jail, Det. Shelia Oz, Det. Janzs, Det. Wooten, Det. Paul Warden to name a few, along with the Crown Prosecution cohorts, Shelia Cressman and Daniel D'Santis, they should be writing Hollywood scripts instead being employed by the judicial system, representatives of Her Majesty Queeb Elizabeth II. They took text messages, cut, copy, pasted a book together and designed a theory from the ether, and it was allowed to be passed of as case Crown evidence in real life, and a court of law, allowed it to be committed for an actual trial, in order to illegally convict and mislead members of society, who had to make a judgement call on the false narrative, while the most important evidence was suppressed, as it would have caused the case to be thrown out. What I refer to is the suspect who was caught with the murder weapon, who confessed to the murders, was let go and not charged, as all 24 Detectives and the prosecution, took his word, that according to his cell phone, he was not in the vicinity of the area while the murders took place..............
