oh, this just makes me smile! I imagine this is how people danced when my Grandpa used to play his fiddle : )

Ahh yes! And when Alabama wrote one of their greatest hits MOUNTAIN MUSIC (like grandma and grandpa used to play) this RIGHT HERE is what they are referring to!

Use to go to fiddler conventions all the time.. Love to watch the really talented do clog dancing ..use to be able to do a little myself ..haven't done that feat in years ! They are so much fun to attend, as all night long people would play around their recreation vehicles or tents and you could walk around and hear all the different music. Spend time meeting and talking to some really down to earth people. ..There was some real talent there!

Super video! We love Salyer tunes in SE PA. And it's nice to see some old time dancing - I haven't made it down south to the festivals or old time school last two summers and I miss seeing that. One night at Swannanoa there was jam with Molsky, Bruce Green, Rayna Gellert, and other well known musicians with Ira Bernstein dancing. What a night.

This is what clogging is all about. Oh yeah!! ( Mind you Super Bruce the fiddler doesn't hurt either - generally I imagine him with a cape while fiddling)

This is unbelievably cool. Fiddle and a pair of boots > all dubstep ever.
