Seldon had a great physique and an excellent jab, but his stamina and chin let him down in big fights. Ribalta was a decent fighter but was never the same after taking a torturous 10 round beating from Mike Tyson back in 1986. That fight effectively ruined him for life because he went from being a fringe contender to being a journeyman punchbag.

I wish Bruce Seldon would have start screaming like Goku when he popped up from the knockdown.

It's not as weird considering what it most obviously appears to be: Seldon does get caught (though mostly turns away from it) and falls back (good, he wants to) and sort of realizes he's lost his leg, balance and is going to buckle down as Ribalta is going to smash on him. He opts to just go down-down and wisely stays low (note Ribalta actually tries to shovel punch him so Bruce was right all along) and he is just sort of staying there on purpose and add a few seconds almost comedically "is he still swinging down" and/or just a 'thought collector'. It is a wacky thing but I get what he was doing and why.

Definitely bizarre. Looked like Seldon suffered a very heavy knockdown, looked like he was out cold, then pops out and bounces around like nothing happened, before proceeding to beat the living shit out of Ribalta for almost every second of the remainder of the fight 😐

Seldon was a weird dude. If only he fought like this against Tyson, instead of doing the worst acted dive I’ve ever seen in a fight. The sight of him going down then jumping up and stumbling while shaking his head staring into nothingness was comical. It’s amazing how a grown man who fights for a living will do the most shameful thing you can do in the ring. And to still see he was actually hurt and wasn’t acting is incredible. Tyson was a shot fighter when he fought him and he may have actually actually a chance at catching him if he , you know, tried.

Bruce could always fight but that drug habit ruined his career. His addiction was the main cause of him taking a dive vs Tyson for a cool million dollars and yes, he did have a shaky chin as well.
