I'm a 36yrs old single momma of 4 miracle kiddos, divorced twice, first time in my life since 1 year out of high school that I have not been married. Grew up as an only child in a tiny country town with western roots but my heart and soul is the only western part about me. Was never exposed to Bruce my whole life until Western Stars came out. I find myself daily mesmerized by this album! It literally walks me through each stage of my life and brings me to a deep peace and understanding and MAN, I've never been soooo comforted in my life! Makes me want to just curl up on a couch and listen wide eyed to Bruce and his wife talk to me about life. This album has won my heart for always. And Stones, an imprint... forever grateful! And honestly the first musician I have ever found myself wanting to have the privilege of meeting in my lifetime! Genuinely! Truly has been a blessing to me along this crazy journey called life.

I'm the same, started in a little cowboy town, led a great, tumultuous life and Bruce has been a part of since the first song of his I ever heard--Racing in the Streets. I got up and drove 60 miles from Lake Tahoe to Reno to buy Darkness on the Edge of Town and ever since his songs are so intertwined with my life and the women in my life I couldn't separate them if I wanted to. Patti adds a LOT to this song with that beautiful voice. Gets a little more chance to show it on this one than she usually does

Changed my life too but you’re story is much greater. Bruce. lives near me in NJ. I had met him several times and he is quiet and kind. During the pandemic I walk along a great park nearby and I past his wife and daughter who were also walking. I plan to tell him if I ever meet him again how Western Stars changed me and then boom the pandemic hit so I’m still waiting for the full effect. I’m happy to read a story Ike yours. Be well.

Sunny I’ve been a fan for many years. Always look for something that hits me when new stuff comes out. And love hearing who else it touches. Wish I could meet the people that comment on these sites. That doesn’t generally happen but it’s cool to know how other people have been touched and feel similarly. Hope you get to meet The Boss❣️

I love these versions of his Western stars album. The sound has more depth and suits his mature voice. I shall have to watch the film. Perhaps l just love Bruce singing with or without theESB.

I’m 16 years old and have loved his music my whole life, and the beauty of this song is amazing. I saw the premiere last week, and my love for his music has grown more and more since my days as a little kid.

The 30 piece live orchestal backing was a stroke of genius whoever thought of that - especially the string section/s - amazing sound - the haunting violin solo in 'Stones' goes right thru you. The bard of the Amercian soul does it again....and again... (stop digging POTUS - no contest).

This song (and all the songs on the album) are gorgeous! I’m a 65 year old woman who is thoroughly enjoying rediscovering The Boss’s music. Back in the day of course I heard Born to Run, Thunder Road, Born in The USA, I’m on Fire, and Dancing in the Dark; but at that time my radio was mostly tuned to the country music station. More recently an Irish singer/songwriter that I love sang a beautiful cover of “The River” and inspired me to check out Mr. Springsteen’s music on KZfaq and I’ve been in heaven. What a talented genius! So wonderful to discover that he’s a family man too and apparently just a wonderfully nice guy. I’m looking forward to watching him on the “We Love NYC” concert this weekend. I will be looking for the “Letter to You” documentary on Apple TV this evening, and I’ll be reading “Born To Run” as soon as my copy arrives. Don’t know yet at this stage if I’ll ever be able to catch a live show; but (if we survive this pandemic), here’s hoping. Thank you “Boss”!

We just watched this movie last night...wow, wow is all I can say, we both had goosebumps!! I was always in love with your music but now I have a whole new appreciation for you, your life, your talent as a song writer and how you so poetically intertwine the journey of life in all its glory. Im trying to weigh in my mind how beautiful and powerful this song and album is an how poorly it has done commercially.....I know the times are different when he was in the limelight of the 80's....but today what is popular has changed dramacially.......well only the times have changed but not the quality and genius of his talents.......those are not lies that i tell you.....

40 ans que j’écoute le Boss... j’en reviens toujours pas que ce soit un pote, un frère, un prof, un père, et qu’une telle intelligence irrigue des paroles et une musique toujours en évolution. Cet album est magnifique, tout comme Born to Run, et ils sont si différents. Le Boss est le boss
