I love how miserable and vulnerable Bruce looks in this movie. It shows the toll being Batman has taken on him. Little details such as the sunlight bothering his eyes and having to wear sunglasses are a nice touch too.

Nah, that’s exactly what makes him a terrible Bruce Wayne. Alone with Alfred, yes, all these aspects are great. But he’s the same in the public too. The duality of batman/Bruce Wayne is what makes his character so great. Affleck was great at both. The on,h downside with him is that he kills

What I love about his version of Bruce is that he's not portrayed as the usual playboy persona but rather we see more of his vulnerability, grievance of his loss, fatigue and grasping to his destiny of being the caped crusader.

You commented this and likely without haven't even seen this movie in it's entirety and mainly just judging by this clip alone nor even bothered to read the synopsis behind the story here I bet. :/ When there's still room for growth for his Mr.Wayne here and besides, he's not trying hard to pass off as some playboy billionaire wealthy inheritor here in this movie at least compared to the other two - Ben Assfleck and C"hot headed" Bail /Bale whatever. And ya know...triggered dc comic book trolls are going to be coming after me for saying all these. But you're a Ryan Reynolds/deadpool fan and you haven't even seen his recent interview some months back or so where he balked at the idea of even being compared to ben assfleck in terms of looks. I was like wtf myself after watching that when they look nothing alike unless some real-life so-called comic book troll was trying to stir s**t up by comparing them when they even play completely different characters. I know he loves his 'bromance' with Paul Rudd and even thinks the latter is the nicest guy, even nicer than him...which I actually agree lol. And some might think I'm being OT for even adding him to this topic now and look, I've nothing against Mr.Reynolds (just not as obsessed as I used to be over him as an actor even when he has hardly branched out in his acting portfolio other than just playing this whole comic relief character in most of his movies roles tbh). But why I say all these is cos' I can't stand how 'politically correct' this damn internet tries so hard to be these days but ends up looking nothing more but internet mongers spreading mindless negativity in their comments on video content that has nothing to even do with their comic book 'faves' because they mostly can't even differentiate between fiction and reality, SMH. 🥱 And also in order to prop their other comic faves while making spam trollish comment(s) like that just only make such postings appear to be from faceless internet /spam bots especially more so these days. My favorite part of this movie is that the stress and burden of being Batman isn't what's hurting him....its the fact he hasn't made the real mask yet. The Bruce Wayne persona. The charming snarky womanising playboy billionaire. I hope they explore this side of the mask in future installments

I wasn't sure when I first heard he'd be playing our beloved dark crusader but after seeing the direction Reeve's & Pattinson were going for, at portraying a more vulnerable Bruce I gotta say I was happily surprised by how striking Pattinson's Batman look thrilled me. He just has that intimidating look of Batman from the comics. Pattinson reawakened a love for irl Batman that I haven't felt since the Nolan trilogy🖤💙💛 And Pattinson's voice is so fitting, his voice is soft, gentle yet dangerous sounding all in one, plus I personally love the idea of watching Bruce's metamorphosis from a shy, shut in Bruce into crafting the "billionaire playboy" persona we all know he will eventually become.

Not to mention, Robert looks amazing for his age! So the story does depend on the age is all I can say. The trilogy could end with Batman becoming fully formed (ex: sharpened detective skills, more alliances, etc) and hopefully have Robin pop up at the end.

think about this if you want to understand why he sounds so tired in his voice, his borderline bewildered state, and his glazed eyes look. it is because this portrayal of this batman is impossibly sleep deprived, physically pushing himself beyond his limits, all his intellect is being tested, perpetually grieving his slain parents, and utterly depressed from his grief but he keeps trudging forward. you do not see him sleep once, bales batman was dragged out of bed and the other batmans took time to seduce a beautiful woman while getting some sleep. he is the ultimate detective because he will not sleep until he solves the case and at that he is facing off against the riddler, the riddler left him the entire case to solve while he was running on absolutely no sleep and fighting his way through so much trying to kill him. he is perpetually sad, walks slow, and fights angry because he has nothing and everything. an entire city knows and does not know him while the people in power are demonizing him or supporting him silently while still being careful, observant, and staying ahead of the curves. he took off his armor and went straight to reviewing all the leads after he got home from patrolling and fighting an entire gang of violent criminals then had to tiredly handle his effortless existence as bruce wayne to only have to suit up when the sun sets to chase down the next lead at the peril of his own life because if he sleeps the city will die by the deranged genius that is the riddler. the next puzzle piece came with the price of a human life and will claim the city if he sleeps. no sleep for the wicked, how about no sleep for the true hero because wickedness in the world does not sleep but the universe spawned an opposite to meet it and that is batman incarnate. the other batmans all ended up taking a break to sleep or sleep with a woman to destress. he truly portrayed the dark knight detective, displayed chivalry, utmost committment to his duty, and integrity to both of his personalities. he was so impressive in his sleep deprived act to save the city that he earned a kiss that was thrown at him. best batmans in order... pattinson... kilmer... keaton... bale... clooney.. affleck. kilmer did the best playboy sided bruce. keaton the best billionaire aire. bale the best fighting batman. clooney the most confident batman. affleck the best tech. i absolutely love how heavy they made pattinsons batman sound when he trudged up to the next improbable task, truly carrying the weight of the world or at least the weight of his city. you go insane after three days without sleep but not the batman. batman and riddler were both spawned from inequality in society and the chaos from those that would seek to profit off the chaos and inequality, the riddlers mission and response was to end inequality by completely ending society while batmans mission was to end the chaos from inequality by removing the pillars of the corrupted in his society that are thriving on the chaos and control over the pillars of institution that hold societies together while playing a bat and mouse chess game with riddler already one step ahead and in complete control of the big puzzle picture.

He’s a bit too emo/teenager vulnerable, I prefer the Batman Beyond angry grumpy type of vulnerable, or even Batfleck was angry brutal vulnerable enough. Here, even if that’s him as a young Batman, he seems to weak, so it’s hard to look up to him as a superhero, Batman should always demonstrate strength and control while being broken

Has anyone noticed the fact that THIS Bruce Wayne doesn't give a damn thing about the business side of the character? According to everything I know about the character from comic books, Bruce Wayne is charismatic, sociable and more. It's not Pattison's fault, but the actor is only playing Batman character since the script of this movie forgets about how Bruce Wayne really is in the comics,

Bruce Wayne minus the confidence,wit and charisma the qualities which Christian Bale's Bruce possessed but we've to admit Rob Pattinson's batman was more grounded than any Batman be it Bale or Affleck in fact he was soo grounded that he had a fear of heights and he glided like a squirrel!!! This is a very realistic portrayal imo. He's just obsessed with being Batman, doesn't even care about Bruce Wayne or his company at this point. He's a recluse and nocturnal animal.

Bombs going off at Batman's huge jaw but he coming out without a scratch and getting shot hundreds of times with high calibre rifles yet the batsuit (which is made up of vibramium) getting unscratched and batman just walking into a volley of machine gun fire!!!!! Wow the movie is soo realistic!!!! Trivia: bombs and bullets are basically useless and they cause no harm

@@amitavasengupta5580 I was referring to his portrayal of Bruce but ok. Its a comic book movie ofc it will have explosions. In the bombing scene, Batman was covering his face with his gauntlets. Also, if you take a look at the bts, you'll see how much of the actual stunts were done practically. That bullet scene you mentioned in the hallway itself took 3 days to shoot using only light from the muzzle flashes. Say what you want but this Batman remains to be the most grounded we've ever seen.
