Once I thought the same. But with running your own business, it ll change. It takes a lot of effort and money to bring out a product. There is high financial risk in it that is needed to cover up quick. I wouldn't be surprised if he he putet several 10.000€ in it. If it flops, it's gone. So why would you take that risks if you cannot earn money? Think about it, if everybody drops its prices to the edge of being able to survive with it. They couldn't finance new innovations. sport would be dead. but still, you have the choice to pay for it or not. Sozialist wouldn't give you that choice! if the price is to high for you don't blaim the delovpers, go for the products you can effort. maybe in 1 or 2 years you get get one of these at half price. but if you are just interested in it, because it's new, you should rethink your consume behaviors.

Meinungsverbrecher But the problem is that windsurfing is not a mass sports anymore since the equipment is soo expensive....most young people can't afford it and the "older" generation who still can won't be surfing forever.... so the market will get smaller in the long term unless windsurfing becomes affordable for young people again...

@@barbarairena6714 but Irena, the sport is effortable for everybody who can effort a car. You always can go for 2nd hand stuff, which is ultra cheap. It's not the newest shape but technologies hadn't changed significantly since 2000. So you'll find a 100l board which weights 7kg from 2000 or 2020. Also there is a lot of brands which produce low cost boards like BIC or starboard. So if you really want to get into it, there isn't really any excuse.

@chris henry well I don't know the prices in the US. I'm like Dany bruch from Germany. I would call myself an experienced surfer and windsurfer. But still I'm riding boards from 2006 and 2008. I bought them like in 2012 from second hand both boards are carbon sandwich and cost that time 300€ each. Conditions are still good. I can tell this wasn't a super deal I've made. 2nd hand boards are this cheap here. Especially if you go under 80 liters. 2nd hand sail and mast is +100. Boom new about 150. So in total you need to spend around 1k. And price wise you are right and wrong. Yes a masproduct from the big brands should be cheaper because they can produce cheaper then the small brands. But in my opinion, the small brands needs higher prices for a healthy buissness. I made my own boards and I can tell you, it cost more money / time then just buying one. Also quality is not competeable. It's an ugly and unhealthy work. If you want the best gear out there you need to pay the price. But if you are honest with yourself, most gear even if its 20 years old will do the job for hobby surfers. Surly windsurfing is more expensive then surfing. But there is much more expensive sports you can go for. See for example prices of bicycles... By the way Dany brunch is just competing for a small segment, which is waveriding. So no beginner stuff.
