Jus for the record, I came up in the ‘70’s. You made a great point, how they’re playing their instruments, but you can visualize what they’re singin about by the way they bring the song across. But when you mention feelin like a ‘bougie woman in the ‘70’s layin by the pool’? That was almost an oxymoron for that time. If you have a chance, check out a short docu on the ‘Blaxploitation Era’. But THAT kind of element in Silk Sonic reminds that it’s through their eyes that their sharing this music. They’re influenced musically by the genre, but there’s a whole lot goin on that was practically unheard of back in the day. I think that’s part of why the project is so special. It’s like sayin, ‘We here, shomone y’all, let’s do this & feel good!’

You will not see an album... well not till later. They will milk every song as a single. That means every song has a review and reaction. They will wait until the song has fully saturated the audience then Bruno will drop another hit song. If you think of it, this is a great marketing plan. Why get an album and pick and choose what you want to listen vs. Jamming to every hit song and releasing it like a dog treat. And here we are like a good dog wagging our tails waiting patiently to hear another song. Smart Marketing.
