Yes they have!! A lot of the 'new' music gets kinda stale after a while, and you need something refreshing like this, and it's greatly needed. This record is going to play for a long time, and right before the height of the summer even.

They did their research on the 70's!!! The music the clothes and the skating are on point!!! The only thing they left out is the drink during the 70's at the clubs was 7 and 7 drink. If you drank anything else you were not cool!!! Disco era!! Good times!! I wish they had their album out like yesterday!!! Just a little taste of what is was like! Awesome reaction!!

This song took me back to my childhood. The 70s was THE BEST decade for dance music, hands down. This song is sooooo refreshing. I remember Saturday afternoon skating at the roller rink. The video is spot-on from the music to the clothes, to the excellent skating by those beautiful ladies. Everyone is going to be grooving to this for a long time to come.

I hear you Ladybugg. Back in the day every kid on the street had skates. My husband and I skated on Venice beach for one of our Anniversaries and he bought me a new pair of skates and we were in our 30's this was in the 80's.

Great video reaction! Yes, at 8:04 when Bruno stands up and sings “skate.to.me.by.baby”, so powerful and passionately I get stuck on that from repeating that it takes a while to get to the end.

Young man, I absolutely love your reactions - your smile is DAZZLING! Plus, the true joy you exhibit reacting is just fabulous! Way to bring a smile to my face..."Oh My, Oh My"... Anderson Paak is amazing -- drumming and singing at the same time is difficult. Bruno is really showcasing Anderson with the Silk Sonic songs which are awesome and something artists of his stature don't readily do. Anderson's talent is freaking awesome but he has not had the exposure Bruno has. Silk Sonic is changing that! Love this video, all the 70's vibe again like their prior video; the bicycle, VW Bug, Bus, and delivery truck, the girls' rollerskates, their outfits, the congas, instruments, and even the fan in the background - all legit 1970s. Skating was HUGE in the 70s!!! Bruno Mars is at his best with the 70's vibe and is extremely detail-oriented when staging his videos and camera work. Did you notice how the camera blurs out Bruno to give Anderson the focus? This song reminds me of the boys in high school in the '70s going to Ocean Beach in San Francisco every day after school and jamming!

I grew up skating especially in the 70s. That is one introduction I have to great music. My brother wound up buying our local roller skating rink and next year it’ll be celebrating it’s 50th anniversary. (Skate Country Tucson, Arizona).

I love how Bruno dresses to match the music on his album - 24K was luxurious, lots of YSL and Versace. Silk Sonic is 70's Cali vibes: floral shirts, butterfly button-downs, and bellbottoms - effortlessly casual. Lol they put out the perfect summer song at the end of summer. Can you imagine how big this would've been if they dropped in mid-May?

You caught it! Yep, it's that '70s vibe of "You smell better than a barbeque" "sop you up with a biscuit" talk brothers used to talk to the ladies. (Man, I miss that!) and yes, the rollerskating rink was where we went dancing. Dancing on skates was REQUIRED where I grew up. Lol

I was looking forward to your reaction, one of my favorite reactors. When I heard it the first time, it reminded me of the disco records that would play at the skating rinks. I knew you were gonna flip, and the 'strings' section is a very 70's element in a lot of disco music. This is 2 for 2 from Anderson and Bruno, and when this album drops, it's gonna be something else. Found out about 5 or 6 yrs ago, that I can still skate. What a groove. This is almost like ultimate skate song. Can’t do tricks but can groove & skate to the beat (63 yrs old). Remind me of back in the day like late ‘70’s early ‘80’s, when MJ’s Don’t Stop to Yiu Get Enough start wit the bass line, ery’body of any level would jump on skate rink & get they’re groove on.

Anderson .Paak was the opening act for the Bruno Mars 2017 24K Magic World Tour. They decided to get together to form a band of their own. The great Bootsy Collins came up with the name for the band - "Silk Sonic". This song is on their debut album called "An Evening With Silk Sonic". The entire album has not been released yet. So far they have only released the one minute intro song, the song "Leave the Door Open", and this one - "Skate". The vibe is definitely '70's R&B. I couldn't find a total release date for the album. I am wondering if they are going to just release it one song at a time - to build interest (and the numbers are showing a tremendous amount of interest in their songs). I can't wait to hear all of their songs! As for Bruno Mars, my all-time favorite song of his is "Uptown Funk" (where he was the guest feature singer with the Mark Ronson band), and then "Versace On the Floor". You might want to put those two songs on your reaction list! Great reaction, Twon! Thank You!!

Today's youth do know nothing about skating. In my day in the 70's we went to the skating rank every Saturday and in Jr High every Friday after school on the school campus was a skate hop.You had to know how to skate.
