That tanker 15 does more to put out fires than a lot of the " firefighters " i've seen on youtube.

The bumper nozzle was designed more for interstate fires so that the operator and officer could stay in the vehicle more, and not be so vunerable to traffic as well as now one or two people can easily handle a small fire without streching a hoseline.

Am I the only one that notices all the vehicles parked in the "unburned" area ahead or below this fire? We were taught to always park or attack fire from the burned out area. Lessens the chance of burning a rig/vehicle.

I'm sure it does, probably between 200 and 300 gallons. More than likely a Type 6.

Then why are they running the booster reel line to the top of the hummer near the end of the video and why are there pump controls at the back of the unit? You can clearly see a hose reel at the back left of the unit at 2:13 . please check before answering.

wcresponder OK the tanker is 3000 gallons they said it and the brush is probly like 200 to 300 the tankers pump panel is on the side you can clearly see it
