Short Brussels Griffon description:
The Brussels Griffon is a small, but sturdy dog breed with squared body and average height between 9-11 inches which is 23-28 cm and weight between 8-10 pounds, which is 4-5 kg.
The monkey like face of the Brussels Griffon is the reason why they are so unique and easily recognizable. They do reminds us some fictional characters like Ewoks or Chewbaca. They have very distinctive extremely large eyes with long black lashes. I think it is because of these eyes they have the monkey or i would say almost human like look. The head is large with small ears and short nose.

My parents had a smooth coat (Patit Brabacon). She was on of my all time favorite dogs. My Dad, who had major mobility issues, would freak out if my Mom went to the store and would actually call the police because he thought she might have been in an accident. The day we brought her home she climed in his lap and claimed it as her own. My dad never had another panic attack. When my dad passed she was with him when it happened. Later when we came home from the hospital she didn't look for my Dad. Instead she went to my Mom and climed in her lap. It was the first time she did that. Without any training that dog (Sprout) knew exactly what her job was. Sprout was with my Mom when she passed too and comforted my when I came back and took her to my house.

My Brussel Griffin is a barker, and doesn't get mad when I hug him. But he does have a favorite, my husband. My Brussel griffin Hiccup is also very loyal and a little chunky

Our girl is the Brussels Griffon ! Red coat. She is 13 now will be 14 in March. She is the 3rd terrier breed I'm familiar with (my favorite). All of the things he points out in the video were dead on with our girl B.B. Queen. Of all the health issues he pointed out B.B. has severe Allergies. We've tried everything! I highly recomend the breed we do not have children around her.

My brussel Griffin (Mr. Grumples) is my best friend. And he was very easy to train. I never heard of these dogs before until I took him in to dogsit while his owner was gone. The owner decided to never come back and get him 😕... But now Mr. Grumples is here to stay... Plus he has a girlfriend, Lily the shih tzu lol

My Brussels of 5 years was attacked and killed (by a husky) the day before Kobe Bryant died. I cried for like a week straight. My dog was my best friend who was very Unique for a brussels. He weighed 21 pounds when he passed away and he was 14 inches tall. Anyways I'm sure you guys can care less but the point of this story is that 2020 has been a terrible year especially with the pandemic and riots going on. A few weeks after grieving I was fortunate enough to adopt a brussels puppy in February who was purchased and returned two separate occasions. He has brought so much joy and companionship through these tough times. I named him Kobe after my childhood idol and hero. He's so similar yet so different at the same time. I love this breed so much! They are perfect dogs for any climate, I live in southern California so i do have to get him trimmed when its warmer but other than that very low maintenance. Im a single male who's 30 and lives in a condo without a yard/garden so I do like to walk him at least 4-5 times including taking him to the park once a day. I used to bring my other dog everywhere including on long hikes and he loved it. They love car rides but at 9 months my baby is still a little timid and shy. After owning 1 its hard not to have more because you fall in love with the breed, although they are a little rare and expensive but more than worth it. @@erockstoenescu6171 Not right now, i am adopting dogs from shelter for some time and as you can probably imagine, there are not many purebred dogs or even Brussels Griffon mixes. To be honest, i have no clue what breed my dog is, it look like a mix of Beagle/Whippet/Labrador.. Who knows, it does not matter that much to me :)

One of the most awesome dog breeds! Got the heart of a Rottweiler, the stubbornness of a terrier and the loyalty of a spaniel. Sadly we had to find out that this breed has very many health issues (patella luxation, syringomyelia, organ disfunction, allergies....). But they are great little goblins to have around. They need to be loved or they really get sick. And they are working dogs - they need to think they help you. Mine was and still is helping in the garden, with renovations, shores all over. He even learned to steal tools and cloves from neighbors to bring to me. Earlier on I took him and our Laika ratting where the griffon would flush the rats from under bins and containers and the Laika would snatch them. Or he would corner one as big as him and hold it until me or the big dog could come to finish it off.

Mine is a little bigger at 20 lbs. A little chubby. Never barks unless she wants my attention. Very quiet dog. Very affectionate and loving. That's her in the picture.

My aunt had a small Petit Brabancon named Madge whom I adored as she spent hours obsessively heading a ball back at me occasionally trapping it with her front paw. Very affectionate little dog, but an absolute boss lording it over the other Griffons and guarding the property. I was distraught when we lost her to lungworm aged 7. I felt robbed of another five to seven years with her.

My baby is 11 years old and he has a heart problem. He is getting weak and hardly walk and breath. I can not let him go. My sweet friend, I love you.

Brussels Griffon is my favorite dog breed! Some of the facts are incorrect though :) Not all griffons are tiny, there are larger Griffs who weight even 19lbs (9kg). Also, my Belgian Griffon loves kids! She is not a barker and does not need to be exercised a lot. This breed is just amazing and thank you for the video :)

The weight being 8-10 lbs is the standard for the breed. Any dog breed has the potential to not meet the breed’s standard. Long as the Griff is healthy and the bones of the dog can support that much weight, it doesn’t matter! How cute that your Griff loves kids! :)
