Bruynzeel is a pretty good brand. I live in the Netherlands and you can buy it everywhere, and it’s so much cheaper then Derwent or Prismacolour. And I love the Rijksmuseum, so it’s cool that they are collaborating.

I love the pencils Bruynzeel manufacture, I think the Design range are really beautiful pencils so much so in fact I wish they came out with a much bigger set than the 48 set. I’d love to see at the very least a 72 set. Thank you so much for your wonderful comment

I checked out your channel on the recommendation of Lucy Just Adds Colour. I find her voice, personality, and manner of speaking soothing. That's what I find with you, as well! I'm an American artist but prefer European art channels. Subscribed.

This is the first review I've seen of these pencils, I've seen them in stores several times and I've asked myself how these pencils would be, this video has answered many questions, thanks for the review

I wonder what the great artists of the past would think of all the amazing supplies we have today? I don't choose pencils by the box art but I do fall for coloring books for the colored picture on the cover. lol This was a good review! Thanks.

I think you will really enjoy them, for a budget priced set of pencils, they perform so well in all the important areas.

Thank you for this review. I bought this set awhile ago at a local art supply store because of the lovely painting on the box - just like you mentioned. I was put off at first because there were no colour names or numbers on the pencils and thought I’d wasted my money. Lately though I’ve been using them for colouring in my adult colouring books and find the colours rather pleasing and the narrow core great for detail. I agree with you that they sharpen very well and layer quite nicely . Thanks again from a subscriber from Canada.

The art you created with this set is fantastic! The outcome is great for a two hour project. I bought two sets last year, the 50 ct, and the 24ct because I thought that the palette of colors in each set would match the color palette of the art depicted in the tin box. Go figure why I thought that. The 24 colored pencils are repeated in the 50. Had I watched your review before, I could have gotten one set. Nevertheless, I am very happy with both. The tin boxes are gorgeus! Thanks for your reviews, they are very informative, and helpful.

I buy them too...Right now I drawing...soo...for sketchbook and small project they are great... It feels like expression series, not too soft, not too hard core...Very easy to my hand and great for precise details... Now I will watch your experience...In my country they cost same as set expression series (72 color pencils) no metter of smaller set(50)... I don't work with color book at all and that type of paper, but I like them on clasic 180,220 and 250 g smooth paper.... (sorry for my engl. if I made spelling mistakes)! Thank you!🌞

Hi Karen, I have tried things like that, keeping my videos brief, shortening them etc and every time I did my subscribers didn’t like it and preferred the kind detailed review. However with every single review I do, I also provide a written review which is broke down into subheadings clearly marked, such as, characteristics, performance, sets available, pricing, lightfast etc. This way if all you want is simple fast information, the written review is always an option. Actually every time I review a product it is done in 4 different formats. Video review, Written Review, Speed Drawing of art with product in question and a page on my website with only still images of the art at various stages of completion from start to finish allowing the viewer to enlarge an image and inspect it in their own time.

Pigment name is very important, particularly when the end colors look very similar …. It’s extremely annoying not to have that at the ready. (Also, don’t babble, get to the point.) Review the product. Thanks for the review.😊

Get to what point, it is a review of a product, there is no point, it is a series of observations, tests and demonstrations that combined make up a review. If I made videos just dedicated to naming pigments or talking about lightfast info, there would be a single point to obtain in that instance. I would record the video, list the lightfast information and stop the video. But that is not what I do. I am sorry you don’t like my videos but I am sure there are many other review content creators out there that get to whatever point they are trying to make, but this is not the nature of my channel, sorry to disappoint.

I bought these a few weeks ago on Ebay for just £9.99 - obviously you can't compare them to the likes of the Pablos etc, but for the price they're a great little set of pencils and I wouldn't put anyone off buying them. Great about the newsletter and more livestreams, I look forward to them. Cheers Harry.

The white looks very opaque on the black paper. I was wondering if these colored pencils are kind of transparent like the Lyra Rembrandt.

I know of one set of pencils you will never review. Louis Vuitton! At $990 US for 40 pencils, they could only be for someone who has gotten bored with their supercar collection 😆

I have actually seen those and been in touch with Louis Vuitton who are considering sending me a set. You are right though, they are crazy prices and I told the company that if I did review them I would have to review them based on their ability as a pencil and not based upon the price tag of LV pouch. So I have to wait and see but if they don’t send them to me, you are indeed right, I will never review them.

They looked to me like Supracolors branded with LV in their pricey beautiful LV pencil roll. I could be wrong, but Caran D’ache has done that before. I have seen their pencils at the museum. I think it was the Met, here in NY, branded with the museum name available for purchase in the gift shop. I I was interested in buying them until I realized I already had it.
