@@davidhoward2487 I’m not sure if it was true, but I remember hearing at the time that the Wets pulled love is all around on purpose cause they were sick of it too. That’s why they got 16 weeks and not more. But again not sure how true that was.

I'm 'old' there with you - saw him open for Journey 'Frontiers' tour in '83 @ Centrum in Worcester. He came back out for an encore; learned later that opening acts doing that was a rarity. He was that good.

It's usually some talent-free hack, who thinks they're a budding star, who also can't write music to save their soul, completely destroying someone else's work. And by the way, how do you take the context of the song "Straight From the Heart" and turn it into some kind of dance number? WTF? Might as well take "Tears in Heaven" or "Alone Again Naturally" and put a disco twist on it.

Bryan Adams has written songs for many artists that went on to be big hits. He also wrote Canada's version of "We Are the World", called "Tears Are Not Enough". He still touring today and is a great live act.

Mickey Curry was Adam’s’ drummer. One of the most “pocket” drummers with the most killer drum sounds in the 80’s. He had a lot to do in my style of playing.

I saw Bryan when this song first was very popular. This was 1985 in Atlanta. He was the headliner. It was a great show! Then I saw him again later when he opened for The Rolling Stones in 1999. Fantastic concerts!🥰

He also wrote some songs for a Canadian rock band called Prism as a teenager in the late 70's if you ever could get to them some of my favorite hits from them are: Young and Restless, Armageddon, Spaceship Superstar, Take Me Away and Dont Let Him Know co written by Bryan Adams

The 80s are my college years . And sir, you got the feel of it because this WAS the sound of the eighties. As soon as I hear this I think of myself in some club in Chico drinkin Long Island iced teas, zombies, and upside down kamikazes dancin with ladies I didn’t know and never saw again. I also think of all the videos on MTV. Back then MTV was nothing but music videos. It was like watching FM radio. Yes sir, you got the feel of it!

I won tickets to see him live in 2019 all because my 12 year old son knew what band he fronted in the 70’s before he went solo. Bryan was maybe 16 or 17 when he replaced Nick Gilder in Sweeney Todd.

So few artists like this guy are completely self-made. This guy just "had it" from the start. He has such a completely unique voice as well. It's like it shouldn't sound good, but it just sounds freaking awesome. Then how he is also the writer behind his music, and you can really see his passion when he's out there performing. I grew up with Bryan Adams on the radio and I bought every record I could of his back then. There just isn't comparable music to the 80's, imo.
