Seeing this after his match with osprey. Damn. They hinted at last nights spot months ago. Bryan probably knew as soon as he saw kenny take it he'd turn it into an injury angle someday

What I love about Bryan is that he is so open and honest with his fans and the wrestling world. He has no ulterior motive, he just wants to wrestle. Unlike many others, he doesn't care about proving himself as "Best in the World" or "Best there is...", he cares about being able to wrestle, because he genuinely loves the craft. And it's good to see that now he's doing it in a very smart way that benefits his long-term health. Regardless of how you feel about any wrestler, none of us want to see these men and women end up in wheelchairs after they retire. Or, God forbid, beforehand. Bottom line, certain moves/spots just simply don't NEED to be done. Glad to see Bryan openly acknowledging that.

Actually meaning something is in the eye of the beholder. Nothing in that match made me get out my seat and cover my mouth in shock like that driver. It’s the most memorable moment of the match potentially. Should it have ended it? Maybe but it doesn’t mean it meant nothing.

@@FdatubeofyouThe idea in wrestling is supposed to be to protect yourself and your opponent. For decades wrestlers were able to put on incredible matches, tell great stories, draw big money, without sacrificing their health to the degree that these goofs do. When knuckleheads like Omega and Ospreay go out there knowing beforehand that they're going to damage their bodies that is pure idiocy. Luckily they wont have very long careers and maybe the next generation will learn from their stupidity. I doubt it though, things have gotten so out of hand over the last 20 years. But yeah dont applaud these jokers for dropping each other on their heads. 30 years ago when the AJPW guys started doing this even Meltzer admitted that it was not necessary. Look at Misawa, that could be any of these guys if they're an inch or two off

Sound good? I saw two professionals make a decision knowing it would be controversial, and they’re both fine. Do you panic and jump on the internet when someone tries a 630? Nah, even tho it’s beyond dangerous. Bet you don’t care about shooting stars even tho we’ve seen Lesnar and others land on their heads. Is it risky, no shit, that’s why it gets a reaction. One thing I’ve always respected about wrestlers like Danielson and Punk is that, even though they have a great respect for the world of professional wrestling, they hold John Cena in high regard. Whether fans want to admit it or not but John Cena is the last “big match, main event” wrestler to perform on a weekly basis. We don’t see that with any of the world champions these days. Almost a lost art.
@dr.apostasy3347

that is because John Cena could entertain and produce a match. WWE is protecting Roman Reigns. He is a shitty promo, and his wrestling sucks once he starts performing every monday. they dont want to expose him.

 @dr.apostasy3347 i dont think anyone forgot, which is why he's so over right now. Love him or hate him, he's 10x better now as a character and performer than he was fresh off the shield. He's finally in an angle that works for us and himself. I also dont really see him as being protected at this point. Again,he'ss over with the crowd as a heel, and no one has to really speak for him anymore either, he can draw an audience on his own. Now im not saying he's the best to ever do it, but to act like he's not good is a little much

It has to be built back up with a wrestler who has the personality and ability to lay it all out in all phases. WWE has Seth Rollins, he is doing it, not just recently. Finn Balor his feud with Seth is meaningful enough to bring back Hell in the Cell a match HHH dropped as a PPV, because it needed to have purpose again with a lot of story and rivalry behind it. AEW has Kenny and many more, as a young company they have to filter and figure out who are the lasting wrestlers.

The correct answer is to straight up tell Kenny and Will to never do a spot like that again on his televison program or he will fine them $200,000 and possibly be terminated afterward. Then other wrestling companies need to have some balls and straight up start blacklisting wrestlers who deliberately do bullshit like this. Wrestlers need to be saved from themselves........period. People need to accept these wrestlers are massive meatheads, both the men AND the women and that gets kicked up to a 100 when they are in an industry that is so cutthroat, dog eat dog, political, cliques constantly being formed, pettiness galore. These wrestlers need to realize there are better ways to get over than doing spots that are unnecessary, jeopardize their health as well as their wrestling partner, not to mention influence others that they need to follow suit or else they will be left behind. There comes a time we need to put a stop to all this unnecessary stuff, especially given the fact a move like that wasn't even the direct finish, to where the actual finish which was 3 more moves AFTER THAT was underwhelming and unnecessary as well.

You cant get anymore AEW mark/fanboy than this man right here. You're saying AEW is professional, when AEW is filled with constant botches nonstop and now way in hell did that tiger driver look successful. It was a stupid spot that didnt even finish the match, it led to two other moves that felt underwhelming in comparison. You are the very reason why Wrestlers need someone wiser to save them from themselves because fanboys like you will see their favorite wrestler blow someone's head off at point blank range and you will start clapping like a damn seal, saying how awesome that was and making all kinds of assumptions and justifications in that wrestlers favor. They dont need enablers, they need sheriff's. And AJ Styles made a whole career protecting wrestlers from all kinds of crazy spots. Kenny Omega himself says AJ Styles is way better than him and its his wish that he wants to wrestle AJ Styles at Wrestlemania before he retires.......those other superstars you mentioned are more than capable of performing the move successfully but still are mature in that they wouldn't take the chance at all.

@@shikikkaneddy you basically favour the workrate stuff, I get it. technical wrestling has its own place. we casuals or even the business prefer a soap opera type match at least people will remember the drama and the impact of the match versus what's going through out the whole 30 min period match which no one would bother to remember. so don't be surprised that most wrestlers who went mainstream or gained the most success throughout history are not workrate guys and mostly home grown talent who draws money who don't need to perform 50 superkicks, canadian destoryers & a thousand flip or any technical workrate move.

@@takezoman Bret Hart also said Melina was the best wrestler in the world and Triple H has never had a good match, he said Ric Flair sucked in the ring. Kurt Angle thinks AJ Styles is a better wrestler than Bryan Danielson and said that Bryan was only "very good" just because he's never been in the ring with him. Ric Flair said that Andrade vs Buddy Murphy was the best match he'd seen all year that didn't involve Charlotte. I swear to God, you can't make this shit up. Flair and Booker T are known bullshitters and clowns. Just because you're in a field doesn't mean that you know everything about it, not to mention, Bret Hart recently criticized wrestling and why he doesn't watch it anymore, and while he didn't name Omega, everything he criticized is exactly what Omega does. Cornette has been in the business for 40 years and blisters Omegas complete inability to make sense of anything constantly, but I guess because his opinion is negative and not positive, you'll just ignore that even though he's gotten into a ring. If you're gonna discount his opinion because it's negative, you've got to discount the positive ones too and maybe just accept that an opinion is an opinion and doesn't carry any more weight than a fans. Kenny Omega is good at executing athletic moves with no psychology and no logic in random, put together sequences that don't flow together properly, and then every now and then, Bryan or Okada will carry him to a match that they take the lead on and guide him by the hand through it and it's good because he's not the point man.
