Bryan Habanna will go down as one if not the best of all south african wings. Just the amount of tries he has scored speaks for itself. South Africa is not a team who generally uses their wings a lot. If he played in the NZ team he would have probably scored twice the amount of tries. He is a great player of the modern game much respect.

A great ambassador for the sport. Stays out of trouble. Defends tirelessly. And there's no doubt that Brian absolutely LOVES playing rugby. What more can one ask of a player in the pro era?

@Grayditch i agree that he isn't yet worthy of being world class coz he has only played like 10 international matches but seriously... you can't say he doesn't work for his tries. the reason he can score 4 tries is because he works so hard to get on the end of things. he may not run 100m every time (though his australian try was like 88m) but the guy is always fishing for tries. a dynamic winger never stuck to the touch line like boring traditional wingers.

First of all. Great video! thanks:) Bryan had a great year in 2009. Interesting though, he wasn't even nominated for player of the year. But to be honest BOD was the best player that year, followed closely by Fourie du Preez. Richie McCaw won. Although McCaw is undoubtedly one of the best players ever, 2009 wasn't the best year for him or the All Blacks by far...yet somehow he won. Sorry for the negative comment. But after seeing this it just reminded me what a farce the awards was in 2009.

@Blitzbok On the contrary Australia out classed the Springboks in all aspects of the game, it was only when they knew they had won easily that they slacked off and let in those soft tries. Do you really think Morne Steyn played well? He's a world class 10 top 3 easily but when Lamby came on it gave the Springbok backl9ne a spark and they started threatening. Also,before lamby and excluding Aplon Mvovo was easily the most dangerous player for SA if he wasnt marked by JOC he may of been ustoppable
