Tomorrow Talk with Sabrina Halper of HOF Capital

Күн бұрын

Bryan Johnson sits down with HOF investor Sabrina Halper for an in-depth conversation that spans philosophy, biology, and technology. Bryan Johnson is the world's most measured human. He is investing millions to slow and reverse his aging. In 2021, he set a world record by reducing his epigenetic age by 5.1 years in 7 months. In this conversation, Bryan confronts many of the criticisms around his pursuit and presents his vision for the future of humanity.
Previously, Johnson sold his company Braintree Venmo to PayPal for $800M in 2013. Johnson is also the founder of Kernel, creator of a non-invasive neuroimaging system, and OS fund, where he invested $100M in the predictable engineering of atoms, molecules, and organisms into companies now collectively valued over $6B.

Someone's actually asking decent questions! I've watched a lot of people interview Bryan Johnson. But you're the only one who''s managed to dig a little further into his phllosophy. I could hear you were a bit nervous at first but you soon fell into the groove. Well done. Smarter than most interviewers.

I've watched every Bryan Johnson podcast there is. This one was my favorite. The reason for that is that every podcast asks the exact same questions, it gets really boring hearing the same things over and over. Really appreciated that you actually asked questions deeper into the material than asking him about things we could have all just Googled. Great episode!

Listening to the man...the next best version of a human, i.e if humans would be redesigned from scratch 1. No need to eat, genetically rewired, other sources to power the body 2. No need for sex, technologically advanced with artificial wombs 3. No need for power, money, being superficial 4. Almost 100% immune to any sickness 5. Can live over 500 years but some governance limits life span for fair use (and humans consent to this) 6. Super peaceful, non violent, no jealous, hatred, evil 7. Super intelligent 8. Probably gender-less Reading this list, the best ultimate form of a human is what we today call ALIEN from outer space

24 minutes in. If we just looked at life as precious... I've actually undergone a gene therapy recently. And it's quite bizarre but this mans point of view is really speaking to me. If the question of longevity really becomes living forever. It certainly does raise a lot of questions.

He's already dying his hair... watch his videos on his own channel. His hair goes from mid brown to dark blond and then to dark brown. He also wears a lot of light reflecting make up, especially around the eyes... it's very obvious in some interviews. He's not ageing less. The guy is delusional.

Despite being one of the people who finds his appearance strange, even aged in relation to chronological age, I have no reason to doubt that the program is working. The idea behind the initiative is solid and the annual cost, if not a little inflated to generate news, is within his financial capacity. But the comments about the blueprint are intended to be a mirror for how human interactions can develop, besides being a megalomaniacal illusion, it is contradictory to the project itself. When he says that the body says what it wants, it's obviously not that, there are well-defined medical parameters of how the body should work and recipes to achieve these goals, nothing like that it is translatable to interpersonal relationships, except in a totalitarian technocratic state, which was not what he was defending, as he does not agree with the use of violence either

"You take any given behavior a human does, you can create dozens of pretty stories to support that behavior. Never be convinced by a pretty story." So kind of like the pretty story you tell yourself and your audience that you are doing this experiment for the sake of humanity, rather than your own vanity, Bryan? Yeah, right. I admire what he does because I also aim to reverse my longevity, but I don't fool myself into thinking that it's for humanity rather than my own personal gain.

Can we address the elephant in the room that he only did this pipsqueak of a subscriber channel (547 at time of viewing!!) despite Brian obviously being in demand by big name press purely because of his fascination with young good looking people? It's natural for us all, so I'm not casting shame. I just think if you're gonna put out that you're all refined and stuff it's fair to point this transparent thing out.
