Man, this isn’t the Bryce Harper that I expected when the Phillies signed him from the Nationals. I thought he was going to be an arrogant diva that made everything about himself. He’s been the exact opposite of that. I can’t believe how good he has been for the Phillies. He is the ultimate team leader. I’m blown away by his humility.

Yea, me too. Being a Father may have helped him grow up. In my opinion, he is the number one reason for the Phillies success.

@@cdrum5994 Offensively, absolutely. The starting pitching has been unbelievable this year, so it's hard to give Bryce alone that #1 spot for the reason behind the Phillies' success. However, I definitely think he is the lifeblood of our offense. When he was out of the lineup after the hamstring injury, our offense looked anemic. There's something about him just being in the lineup that seems to rejuvenate our offense. He could go 0-4 1 game but the offense is still better with him in it than out. When he's 0-for, seems like everyone else is stepping up, but when he's out of the lineup, we may only have 1 or 2 guys hitting well.

@@a-train69420very well said. He’s a dangerous hitter who can change the game with one swing. I think his best attribute is his attitude and leadership qualities. He’s a natural born leader and along with Schwarber - who also is cut from the same thread - those two seem to keep that team focused day in and day out. Come October it’s going to get real and anything can happen but what a summer so far. Enjoy this ride cause it’s been a special season. And no doubt about the supporting cast - when the pitchers go so does the Phillies - we are lucky to have such an entertaining team.

Bryce has matured a lot over the years. He's peaking right now mentally and when you combine that with his physical gifts and talent, that's a dangerous man right there.

Even if Bryce never wins a WS (which would surprise me), he's still going to be my favorite Phillie of all time. I wasn't around for Mike Schmidt, or even the '93 team with Kruk and Daulton, but my first year as a baseball fan was the end of the 2007 season, and I was a huge fan of the 2007-2011 teams. Before Bryce came along, I would've said Chase was my all-time favorite Phillie, followed by Cole Hamels and Shane Victorino. But man, Bryce just has an air about him that we Phillies fans love so much! He's made for the big moments, a great leader, and clearly loves Philly as much as Philly loves him! MV3❤🤍

No/Maybe. - As a Phillies’ fan from as young as I can remember and being to countless games at the Vet and CBP, I can’t remember a better group of guys than the current roster (minus a couple of them!). Harper was raised to be “athletic” as he put it. Believe it, he EARNED the notoriety through decades of hard work. He is very humble and lives a clean, wholesome lifestyle and is an EXCELLENT role model for all.

Why are yall surprised? Phillies has been dominant the past 3 years each of those earning and making the World Series 3 years in a row, mind you, two of those years were the underdog. This team is special, and probably might win it all this year.

After seeing Mason Miller pitch last week against my Phils & tonight at the ASG The Phillies need to go get him if it's realistic. I'd say go get Rooker as well however there's really no place for him here with him being a DH... with that being said THEY NEED MASON MILLER!

grew up going to Double A baseball games to watch harper play. even though he destroyed philly everytime he could i would still root for him and buy his under armour gear. been a phillies fan my whole life, ryan howard is the reason i started playing baseball. after being at a mid major college for a couple years it is surreal knowing harp picked philly. i just knew we were gonna get manny instead. glad he's on our side
