So I just came across your video. And watched it. I do finish carpentry which is pretty much carpentry that just makes everything look nice. LOL and I think it looks good for what it is I would definitely secure that sub because it is going to slide around on that floor. And a hardwood is actually heavier then what you put in that car so it's a good thing you use the product that you did like I said it looks good for what it is. Great job!

I’ve been subscribed for a while because of the idea from this video. I finally finished my wood install today and it’s so unexpectedly cool. I plan on building a sub box to go into the spare wheel well, to make it a “clean” install.

I think it's a good idea I did that years ago to one of our cars, the only thing about it is, that things in the boot tend to slide arrowmd. A way to avoid that is to use scatter abrasive tape. If you don't like the look of tape across your wood, you cud also use the spray on version. Transparent ofcause. However the spray on is not as good and has to be renewed every now and then. Oh and don't forget to glue the wood together, because otherwise it will annoy the shout out of you always coming apart cause to the vibrations.

Yo so.. my buddy saw this video and then for my birthday bought me a bunch of hardwood floor slats and I was like "What the fuck?" and he told me about this... So we spent the evening making the trunk hardwoods and then with the leftovers we made a passenger side hardwood in the shape of the floor mat. It was fucking rad. Anyway I just happened to see this like 2 years later and realized this was the video he was talking about.

How bad does your sub slide around? I have a jeep, rwd.. and it unplugs it's self all the time while im doing donuts .. and that's on carpet. I could only imagine how bad it would be on wood.
