@@DarthZorn Sorry but there is just no way you rig this stuff beyond some favorable officiating. The game happens way too fast and there are too many random bounces, etc. that would make this impossible to script. Even football would be impossible to script beyond the officiating.

And even beyond that, the leagues are basically printing money with TV deals. Is really new reason you would risk all of that to rig a game. Surely occasionally maybe organize crime or gambling might riga game but the leagues themselves are not doing it. It wouldn't make any sense from a risk analysis. And be way too big of a conspiracy and there's way too many billions of dollars at stake. @@meatmeat5344

Yep. Bs guy here. Samsonov made some big stops during regulation. When the Bs were choking hard and couldn't put goals on Woll it wasn't Swaymans fault for letting 2 goals in during the game. The forwards let him down in back to back games while Swayman was the one thing keeping us in major parts of this series.

Yes they did score more than 2-3 goals this year and very often too, but not against the Bruins. This wasn't a shaky Oilers D they were playing. Woll couldn't stop them in March and chances are game 6 was his big games and game 7 might have been another one of his 4-1 losses to the Bruins.

If Shany goes it should be for allowing Dubas and Lamoriella to do what they did. But I studied what they drafted since Shanny and they did pretty good but Shanny allowed GMs to give away draft picks and promising players they got in the draft. I bet Pastrnak has tried that set play a number of times this year and it's up to the coaching staff to inform players to expect it and they didn't so fire the whole batch of them. The scouts were fking terrible for over 30 yrs and I think they have a competent bunch now so I hope they don't touch them. Marner trade to Knights for one of those goalies please. If Shanny is still around watch Boston rob the Leafs again in a trade.

B/s, he came out the same way he has all season, it was a set play Pastrnak had worked out that no one on the Leafs were prepared for. Have the Bruins tried that play a few times this year? Then it's the coaching staff that didn't inform the players. In baseball there is a BOOK on each batter that comes to the plate and there are signals constantly going out to pitchers and other players from different coaches. It's the job of the coaches to keep the players informed of possibilities.

I'm a 66 year old Bruins fan. For much of my life when I was younger, Boston Bruin fans were tortured by the Montreal Canadiens.The Bruins could never defeat the Canadiens in the playoffs. It was agonizing to experience year after year. So even though I'm happy the Bruins won, I sympathize with Toronto Maple Leafs fans. I know how they feel.

No he's not. How can you judge when he plays the top teams every playoff series. He wasn't playing LA or Winnigeg the last 5 years, he played against the best and a half decent team that had PRICE for their goalie. He just turned 27, if they trade him to Utah at the trade deadline he won't sign with them and he'll end up in Carolina or Tampa and get 110 pts every year plus 15 pts every playoff year. I've been a Leaf fan since Keon and I pray so hard Matthews and Marner get sent out of town. Fk those whining Leaf fans.

@@chevelle1 No, not in the regular season. The Columbus team were a good def team with a good counter attack game. Korpisalo and Merzlikins had a really good year and stoned the Leafs. They went OT 4 times and all but one game were wins by one goal vs Leafs and Tampa. They had a save % of .933 but the team looked to be built for the playoffs. Beaten by the eventual Stanley Cup winner. Montreal weren't that bad either and might have given the Leafs a run for their money during the season if Price hadn't missed 57 games. One bad cross ice pass by a defenseman ended it for the Leafs. Tavares wasn't the same after he came back from a 30 mph knee to the head. 2nd line was never the same after that. If you recall they were joking a lot that year "who was the real #1 line, Tavares's or Matthew's." Every time Leafs lose to the Stanley Cup winner or finalist since those 2 years people criticize the Leafs like they just lost to Columbus.

They're fools if they don't get rid of Marner. Who cares if they don't get as much back for him. He's 11 million and doesn’t perform in the playoffs. Stats for this game. 1 SOG. That's it. People can complain about JT, but he's hitting and doing F/O. What does Marner do if he isn’t on the scoresheet? They can't seriously be contemplating signing Marner again after next season? He is going to be wanting close to what Matthews is on. If he isn't gone before the start of next season, then they must offload in February's trade. Marner will want to perform well in the regular season, so he looks good for his contract negotiations. He'll have more value then, so move him on. JT will resign on a team friendly deal if he wants to remain a Leaf. Marner won't.

lol I understand that Leafs fans are miserable after this loss but for everyone saying that the Bruins are “just gonna get demolished by the Panthers anyways just like we would’ve” is 1) such a loser mentality and 2) clearly don’t know the game, a goalie standing on his head like Woll did in games 5 n 6 and like Swayman did in games 6 n 7 can easily win a team a series against a team w better all around talent, a better record etc. and as great as the Panthers played this season, they failed to record a single point against this Bruins team in 4 freakin games this season at 0-2-2, also, this BOS teams was the best team in the entire league over the first 1/3 of the season and I personally believe that them winning this game 7 against TOR just relieved the pressure on them in a big way and now they have a chance at revenge against the team that won 3 straight games to knock them out last season and are being told they r gonna get swept blah blah blah, if they split the first two games against FLA the Bruins will win the series in 6 games.. I guess that sounds crazy to alot of hockey fans but it a whole lot crazier to say BOS is gonna get smoked and/or swept by FLA.. any bettors, if u like $ then u might wanna jump on picking the Bruins to win this series before the odds swing back the other way and just thank me later.. ✌🏼

Marner hasn't done as much as his time on ice leads you to expect from him. It sucks we didn't have Woll with us, because during those high back-to-back offensive play sequences, Samsonov just doesn't seem to stay attentive enough to track the puck as good as Woll would. And while Matthews is arguably our best player, his presence changed the dynamics of the team greatly. Sure we got more offensive firepower but they weren't as cohesive as the last two games with Domi and Knies out more.

Knies at 18:43. Basically where he was game 5. He also took a penalty and he usually gets PK time. Can’t blame Matthews return on this. HIM AND NYLANDER GOT US THE ONLY GOAL. 10.9M I want some goals and some assists. God damn. Also what was Robertson doing this series? Depth scoring? He didn’t score. Didn’t miss anything. Are you telling me you’d rather play Robertson over Matthews? Okay maybe Gregor out before Robertson. I could give u that but he was more effective than Robertson last game. Maybe if this team didn’t quit the last few seconds Woll wouldn’t try and dive for that last second goal (same way he injured himself during the season)

This reminds me of my Capitals when they couldn’t get past the penguins. The year I gave up they finally did and went on to win the cup. If the leafs ever make it past the bruins they will probably go on to win it all.

How can you blame the coach? He constantly has to change lines because the starters aren’t doing their jobs. He does what he can with who he has that’s willing to play. Lindholms goal was pure luck. It went of off Samssonovs shoulder off the post and in. Pastas goal got a lucky angle bounce back that he flipped off the pad and went in. That game could’ve gone either way. Both goalies played lights out. Evidently, you didn’t watch the game. Matthews and Nylander were the only ones that had points. And you call them losers. I don’t remember you calling them losers when they made the playoffs. They must’ve done something right. You want to blame Keefe for bringing out the 4th line. What line was Lindholm on? The 4th line. They must’ve done something right to tie up the series. I guess that doesn’t mean anything. If they had won you would have a different tune. Oh! this is the best team ever. Keefe is the greatest coach. He played the right players. Just stop! Both teams actually played tonight. He’ll, Toronto was the first to score for Pete’s sake. I bet you thought they would win the game with 11:00 minutes to go in regulation. I thought it was over because Boston couldn’t close out 5 or 6. They got lucky. That’s it plain and simple. Great series Toronto fans my hat of to you.

Rielly is not very good (at least in terms of considering him a top line D guy). Tonight, he was GASSSSSED. I was getting out of breath watching him. Keefe kept putting him on ffs!! Panic, desperation, safety style play (rifle along boards, dump and hope for no icing, not knowing who to take in the D-zone, half heartedly trying to block shots, being out skated I mean comeeee on already!! I am not just blaming him of course. I agree with 100% of what you are saying. I can't even stomache watching their post game interview bs cookie cutter answers. Spoiled rich kids who could give a rat a$$ if they win the Stanley Cup. I mean come on, if I was in a position to make big bucks regardless of winning or losing the coveted prize, I would be lying if I said I would not use dollar bills to dry my fake tears. 2 things (sorry for the long comment but I too watching almost 50 years myself of failure takes its toll). So two things: 1). The NHL as a whole should revamp the entire pay structre COMPLETELY. You get base pay of a, b, c, d, etc... (A=top amount, B=lesser amount.....) and then incentives; make the playoffs~get a bonus, make second round~same thing and so on). AND 2). Leafs specifically-keep: Benoit, McCabe, MacMahon, Gregor, DOMI!!, Knies, Matthews, Nylander, Roberstson, Woll as backup Remove: Jonny Tayy (or at LEAST remove the C of his jersey), Boitano, Rielly, Brodie, Keefe, Shanny, Sammy, Lyubushkin, Edmonson, and Bertuzzi (Bertuzzi just seems to have other things on his mind, he looks like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders). Oh, and one more thing, imo, go back to 1 friggin ref. I think (at least partly) why two refs were put in place was extra help to break up fights. But, since the league has drifted away from that by in large, then two refs seem to cause more problems then solutions; especially now that video replay can be used AND its all being watched in Toronto headquarters ANYWAY!!! This is what happens when a fan has had enough with losing lol The problem with this team first a foremost the coach needs to go! 2nd is we have too much money tied up between 4 players which negates the adding some good depth players! 3rd Mitch marner and John Tavares are not good enough anymore! They will probably let Tavares play out his contact cause it’s only 1 year left. Mitch marner also has one year but who knows what the plan is for him?! If they trade him, great if not let him walk next year and clear up 11 mil per. They can sign 2 40 goal scorers for that much!

Leafs not creating enough inside chances. Samsinov needs to get off the goal line. I'm in Vancouver and we had to start 3 goalies to win in 6. Silovs our third stringer was aggressive and always on the outer rim of his crease. Boston's winning goal would not have happened against Silovs as he would have been right at the puck when it came of the boards to the net front and using his Johnny Bauer poke check if needed. In TO I would make a coaching change and go from there and not trade a top four unless the return is worth it. TO needs a number one goalie in the off season before doing anything else.

I don’t play darts with Bill but his sportsmanship award and OT effort to provide a Leafs Game 7 video says a lot about his character and integrity as a person. The sad but true reality for the Leafs, having established decades of being Lo-hoo-si-ers, is that the entire organization has mastered the ability to avoid accountability to the fans by denying the problems that exist with exorbitant core player contracts and unbalanced on ice performance. Minimum this year, fire Shanahan and give the GM the power to make changes to the core-5 to provide salary room for a more competitive team. Brendan was a great player but he has not established his promise of greatness as a team administrator. In fact what he has established is a long continuation of team loo-hoooo-sing (Foster Brooks). Make the necessary changes to the core to establish better team character and dressing room chemistry. Off to Leaf fan rehab for me.
