ASSALAM O ALIKUM ! respected sir , i am a BS AI student of 2nd semester . Your point of view was great but i do not regret doing bachelors in AI . Because i wanted to study machine learning and my interest is growing more in it . And jahan tak baat jobs ki hai, To not a big issue ahista ahista AI me development ho rahii hai , look at sir zia"s work , irfan malik"s work. Baki rizk dene wali ALLAH ki zaat hai... baat hype ki nai hai .hamari country k nojwano ko zroorat hai development kii ,, agr hamary mulk mein itni zyada companies offer ni krtii to nojwann khud q startups start na kren ? ...at last i want to tell u u are one of my fav teachers and i usually watch your videos to learn ..and i respect your opinion.

Wa'alaikumussalam... You make very valid points. My point in the video is that if you are doing ML just for the hype then it's not good. If you are passionate about it (like yourself), then it's perfectly fine to go in the area and work in it. Best of luck with your studies!

Sir, hundred percent agree with you. Firstly, even in next 3 or 4 years it's difficult to opennings of AI in pakistan.Now, only few companies even counted working on AI and also expect that people also have knowledge of web also.Second I also interact with person whose are currently enrolled in AI.In university only teaches student basic algo likeKNN, decision tree and some Deep learning algo nothing more.

Sir, I have the same opinion on BS in AI. But now I am in AI. Opinion, but how can I save myself. I am 3rd semester. I have checked through a lot of companies and articles. AI for now seems like a scam. Most jobs are research related , available after MPhil and PHD. minimum. And AI is only. in mainstream big companies yet. Zero value after bachelor's. How can I save myself.

see his bc cs vs se video for detailed answer but short answer ask university if you can switch to cs because first four semester (2 years) are same in all fields so if they allow switch field if they didnot allow try learning other stuff as well (web,app,ar/vr,devops,mlops etc) so you have breadth which will help you in all fields

to be honest, integrating with web apps and other tools is the AI part most of the time. You are not usually creating new AI/ML models in those DS/AI/ML roles. Recently, I was working on Gemini models. All I did was grab an API key and integrate it using FastAPI nothing else

Sir I am in computer science degree.... But with the time passing I am disappointing from this as well....... They don't have enough qualified teachers to teach us core courses..... I am in fourth semester and fee wise I spent spent 5-6 lakhs already..... But still don't know any skill....our assembly language teacher don't even know how to teach properly......our computer networks didn't completed the course and ask us to prepare the slides for finals exams. Our database lab teacher only teached that how to makes table and how to join them...... And ask us to get him the full project of database in the final lab..... I am very very disappointed from this..... No skill, no GPA..... What will happen to us eventually....... They pressurise us in that way we can't do any thing other than studying...... In this semester I tried to learn web development..... As a result my study compromises and now the finals came and I neither learnt the Web nor studied...... I still doubt myself that that I have any skill or not

its not only the case with you majority of universities specially government universites are same thats why sir has created this channel so we can develop self learning skills because even if you had very good university you still had to learn 70-80% stuff by yourself and for studies try prioritizing your skills don't put too much effort in useless subject which does not contribute to you skills i.e pst,management etc and instead give that time to your skills you still had two years so try disciplining yourself for next two years

@@lifeunscripted558 university doesn't really matter once you get into the habit of self learning and working consistency you can learn in any university may be because of the name of your university you had higher expectations but if we can learn in government university you can also leanr all what it need is intest and consistency and problem solving approach

I personally really like the domain. Not many opportunities in the industry but also not many people working in it. I would recommend (as always) going for a BS in CS and doing specialisation in Bioinformatics... Like take an elective and do your final project in it.

The thing is, CSE department has better teachers, better equipment and better environment than Comp Sci. If both degrees are same I shall pick CSE but if not, I'll pick CS. CS is computer science and I think its more of software focused field if we check the syllabus and teaches a mere few things about hardware. While CSE or Computer engineering is specially hardware focused as it teaches circuits,maths and more about hardware or electronics rather than focusing on coding. Make sure to check out the course syllabus of the desire field you r applying in

I'm not really convinced that BS in CSE is a good idea. Its focus is on hardware but what will you do after that? There is little work to be done on the hardware side and you need companies to support you if you do go in that area and even if you are really good at it. I'm not saying "no" but I haven't seen any convincing arguments in favor of CSE.

Hello Sir, I am interested in Cs and got admission in GIKI and FAST, But on the other hand i also have got admission in ACF in LUMS on full scholarship. Now i am confuse what to do. So this is what i have thought, i am going for lums, spend one year there, try to shift to CS in LUMS if i could not do that then drop lums and join fast for cs. And i believe i will crack fast test again as i had the merit of 85% this year as well. Now review my this decision and let me know what do you think. Is it good to do this?

What's ACF? Accounting and finance? That's a different degree so depends on what you want to do and which area you are interested in. If you give more rationale about why ACF, I might be able to commen more.

Well, I'm in CS and I think it's a good field to be in. I think CS study can actually help you in many other fields. So, I do recommend it. And FAST has a good reputation for CS so it's a good option. Unless you are interested in ACF, I don't know what reason might be to waste time on it.

Lot of courses in Cs degree are irrelevant which is totally time waste it is better to invest that time in AI specialising in that field.. AI Job market booming especially in West.. Students should target them instead of limiting job target to pak only.. pak market is small companies are still stuck at outsourcing same old dev work..
