Can we use 2 GPON or Say EPON on the same same fiber connection one for internet PPPoE connection and the other little far but on the same fiber cable after converting with media converter or ONU from the first connection to the 2nd GPON/EPON for telephone connection ! As one of my GPON/EPON doesn't have the input for telephone connector jack at the backside but the other have and I need it at my home instead of office.

If your ONU device have 2 no. PON port like primary pon and secondary pon then possible , you can extend through external fiber cable with secondary pon port to other Gpon router then telephone also working, Generally company not provide at market 2 nos. Pon port at device, you can find such type of media converter onu, then working as you wish.

I believe they're using an integrated ONT + router which has an integrated RJ-11 FX (phone) connector. While one could use a vanilla single GE port ONT with this, paired with your own router, please bear in mind that two following things:- a. the device has to be compatible with the OLT being used by BSNL. I see they're using Syrotech ONT with WiFi and FX port, a vanilla single GE port based ONT from Syrotech (worth Rs. 1,700/- or so) should work just as fine. b. You will lose the free phone facility as a commercial router will not give you the FX port. There is a variant that also offers a CATV port in case IPTV/ cable is also on offer. As far as I am aware, in India, only Syrotech and SecurEye offer models like this. One could also check OptiLink and Netis for models, but last I checked, they are offering only single GE port and WiFi models. There is also the possibility of using a fiber to Ethernet converter, but a lot of OLTs do not permit this. ACT allows this for their 1 Gbps connection. If this is allowed, you will need to use your own router anyways, preferably an AC1900 or WiFi6 compatible one.

@@theh0lycow You usually get fiber to Ethernet converters as a pair. One at the transmission end, one at reception end. Syrotech is a reasonable brand on this count, and if you're lucky enough to find it - TP Link, which gives pretty good performance. See, a fiber to Ethernet converter has no software or firmware to work with, all it does is convert a fiber optic signal to a Ethernet one (electric). Insofar as an OLT allowing or disallowing this is concerned, this depends on the network topology. Pure FTTH connections use an ONT at the customer premises that communicates with the OLT at the ISP's end. These are mutually "paired", as in, the OLT will accept connections from specified ONTs only. That is why most pure fiber service providers also provide their own ONT as a network inventory security measure. Most will also customise the firmware, but the Government run enterprises like BSNL and MTNL will usually not do any customization and that is why you can buy the cheap ONTs from SyroTech and SecurEye from the market itself and use them. But it still is an ONT-OLT pairing, nevertheless. However, some ISP's such as ACT broadband provide the service through FTTB or FTTP as in fiber to the building or premises. Now, in this case, the OLT is not "paired" but simply switches modes from fiber to Ethernet at a switch kept inside a common point inside the building. The cable that enters your home, aa in the last mile, is not optical fiber but an Ethernet cable. This plugs into your router and dials to the OLT via conventional PPPoE. There is usually no pairing or locking between router and the OLT, or at best there may be a MAC address lock. In its 1 Gbps link, ACT simply avoids the switch in the premise and draws fiber all the way to the customer end and then truncates it through a termination box and a fiber to Ethernet converter. Thereafter, the customer can simply add his or her router to the system and configure the same on PPPoE. It is simpler for the customer but not preferred by the ISP in most cases. That is why they prefer the first option, where they will mandatorily supply you with an ONT and a router and they can control (and spy on) it from the back-end. In the EU and US, there are now laws that mandate router freedom, which means that a customer can choose his or her own equipment to access the service legitimately. Unfortunately in India, there is no such law and consumer forums are not bothered because ISP's give the ONT+router for FREE!

Bro ekk question tha mere yha pe do ISPs he ekk toh ye BSNL wala jo mujhe 530/- (449+18% GST) me 30 Mbps ka plan de rha he Jisme 3300 GB/Month milege Aur Ekk dusra provider he Jo bluetown name ki company ka connection dega jisme 500/- me 50 Mbps and 2000GB/month.........Toh aap suggest krdijiye konsa lu.....me bss 4k videos dekhta hoon 3 devices he.. @Aromal S bro i personally installed fiber connection you cannot connect fiber directly to AC 10 you need a onu/ont device you need to connect fiber to it and connect a ethernet cable from thr ont device to the router AC 10 is working fine has good range and also you get exact speed of the plan in the 5Ghz network

In Italy we make 70mbps with an FTTC connection. In FTTH 1gbps is usually done. I do 10gbps with my operator.

@@ShubhamPednekarYt Yes, I'm Italian. We usually pay a standard price for both FTTH and FTTC. The price for 70mbps is around €24 and the same price is equivalent for a 1gbps (Depends on home coverage). I have a 10gbps connection and I pay €35 a month for it (including modem, repeater, telephone and unlimited gigabytes per sim).

@@TECHNICALASTHA One thing its hard to get ont by users and alos ont has to be compatable with vendors olt Connection is not directly to bsnl office Vendors have an olt device at their end All connection they give to users are coming to their olt So the ont (user end device) Has to be supported by the type of olt of vendor So it's not really advisable ro buy own router without confirming with tbe vendor Also ont online is way more expensive

aap ka plan ka FUP 3300gb , ( Fiber Basic Plus 60Mbps till 3300GB then 2Mbps Unlimited 599 )and First month bill will be little high because 599+GST (GST 107.82) and one month bill advance for security purpose 500 that means total bill should be Rs. 1206.82 Approx. AND 2ND MONTH BILL SHOULD BE 599+GST 107.82 =706.82

It depends on where your house is and whether you have fiber cable. For me it cost 3500 for installation. I had fiber cable in my house because I had cable TV. So only 3500. For you it may cost 4000-10000🤷

0 -30 dBm good but you can request to fiber technician that please do manage dBm level 0-20 then you can get speed , my connection was 19 dBm

@@TECHNICALASTHA na us passowrd se ni ho rha password mangne pe bol rge change krne pe modem corrupt hua to dobara se reconfiguration fees deni padegi. aisa kaise without my consent they changed the password even on asking not shared saying that since we changed the password that is common for all modem so cant be shared then i ask to change passowrd and give it to me. then asking for reconfiguration fee if corrupt. its thier fault only why i pay

It's ok. Some companies give cable free only for a particular distance, after that they charge for the cable per metre. Whereas some companies give cable completely free for any distance needed. So the policies varies from company to company. And Rs 10 per metre is a okay price

Aap ka connection jis junction box se lagaya hai, usi junction box se aur bhi connection kisi aur ko diya hai, 19 dikhane ke baad usi junction box se , aur kisi ko connection de nehi sakta, nehi to speed kom ho jayega aur aap 20 cross ho jayega
