BSS is the first unit from Seventeen, outside of the usual ones. BSS was formed back in their trainee days, i guess it was 2013 when they did a cover of a song, and it just started the "gag trio" back then. in 2018 they sang Just Do It for Caratland and it received so much love from the crowd that they just decided to release the song and even promote it on music shows. their songs just show their personality so much and that's what i love about them. I even cried watching Fighting for the first time because it speaks to me on a spiritual level. and oh you mentioned left and right, i read that woozi had this song back in 2020 for seventeen (yes supposedly with Henggarae album) and it was rearranged now for BSS and it is an amazing decision. this suits them so well

Young-ji not only interviewed Hoshi on her show, she even did a cover with Seungkwan and in fact she’s a Carat herself! She’s a Hoshi stan and during middle school she has commented on Hoshi fan cams. - to answer your question with sub-units. I don’t think there are any that are permanent like leaders and BSS but SVT has done many songs with different members together. Like in their “Semi;Colon” album (Home;Run title track) the unit songs in there are the members age groups and in their 2nd album “Teen,Age” (Clap title track) there’s “Bring it” with Hoshi+Woozi along with “My I” with Jun+The8 and “Rocket” with Venon+Joshua.

Im sure that somebody already commented but they always say ‘happiness doesnt come from grades it comes from bss’!! their mission basically is to spread positivity and an uplifting message to their listeners that is way they always follow the same theme. and another thing i love about them is that they always keep it silly! very true to the nature of booseoksoon, and they are SO good and SO talented that they can be silly and still slay!

BSS's sound is a guaranteed mood boost. I've been having rough mental health days and these tracks are just like aggressive positivity. Like that friend that has the most energy and has that way of doing the most to make you laugh even when you aren't in the mood to and it inevitably breaks you out of your slump.

I'm so glad you liked the songs!! It's been 5 years since Just Do It, and I think Fighting was a great Follow-up. Just an FYI for the album (if you haven't listened to it yet) there is a Highlight Medley which helps tie together the concept of the Album, so I would recommend watching that before the other songs (it's not essential if you already did the album listen lol, but I think it makes the album a bit more 'full'(?). It contextualizes it). Also! Regarding Youngji, Yes!! She has solo stuff and she's participated in and/or won shows for her rapping. OMGGGGG FINALLY U HAPPEN TO FIND LEE YOUNGJI. SHE IS A HELLA GOOD RAPPER FOR SUREEE, she was the winner of korean rapper survival programs named HighSchool Rapper 3 and Show Me The Money 11. Btw she won highschool rapper when she just started rappin for only 6 months! Then she improved A LOTTT until she won the smtm 11 around last month (she is the first female winner of show me the money, fyi) Her songs are incredible, especially in the show me the money era. You should check them out when u have time Cait. I also recommend you to try listen to other korean solo RnB singer named DEAN. I literally can imagine you being drowned to his music and voice because he got his own genre I could say and all of his mucic's productions are damn genius. I really hope you will consider this because I GUARANTEE YOU WONT REGRET ITTTT and it can open your eyes to a new music production world in Khiphop/rnb. BSS is the only official sub-unit (officially debuted? if that make sense) but they do a lot of mix units on albums. You'll see it when you finally dive into their music more. There are so many good combinations i swear. My fave would be in Semicolon album where they did age units (95, 96, 97 and maknae line songs) and the leaders ofc haha. Not only is she a TV personality who was famous for her drinking show and starring in Earth Arcade together with IVE’s Yujin and OhMyGirl’s Mimi she’s also recently a hot topic for her song Not Sorry and she was featured in Hyolyn’s finale song for Queendom 2 which is another bop. BSS was one of the best things that Seventeen gave us! The loudest trio in svt coming together and creating a sub unit 😆💜 Just Do It was such a good song. I was hoping that one day they would come back again. I was so happy when they announced another comeback! And now we finally have their album Second Wind. They didn't disappoint with the comeback, as expected! Both Just Do It and Fighting are such uplifting songs! I was in a bad mood before Fighting got released. Well, there is the China unit [The8 and Jun of course], but they mostly promote in China obviously. There is the ‘American unit’?
