From an artist's point of view, you could see Yoongi didn't really know what to draw and he was happy for the designers to take the lead - Yoongi is very active in the story-making process, as we have since seen, that's what he excels at, but as to the design he struggled to get a clear vision. It would not have been easy for the designers, they do have to balance the vision with something that has a USP, which 'Holly' wouldn't have had due to RJ and Chimmy. It came across wrong in this ep, but Shooky is NOT a side character. I don't think Yoongi was as hurt as people try to make out, he clearly cared more about having a well-designed character than anything, hence why he asked for a 'template' and kept saying 'I really hope this is helpful' because he knew he didn't have anything particular in mind. Sometimes the client needs help, and it states that the members were all consulted on the changes beforehand. Yoongi didn't have a character he particularly cared about, like the others, he only drew Holly because he didn't know what to draw. It's that simple, it's not something to get triggered over.

i love this and the designers did a great job but am i the only one who finds it a bit rude that suga's character became a side character and didn't get his own presentation?

Everything worked out perfectly for Mang: the name, the story and message behind him, Hoseok as the one who let this character to be born and Hobi's personality which inspired designers too (just look at how many different mini situations they draw). Can I say something to everyone who is getting triggered about how Suga’s idea was thrown away? I think the face he designed is still there, i mean the first one he made, since he didn’t really design the whole character but only the facial expression. for the drawings, i love tata and mang the best. tae was very creative with tata to begin with. it's a really unique looking character with equally special qualities. mang really turned out very interesting too. the horse mask and the heart-shaped mouth where the real mang sees through. they added cute quirks and a depth to the bt21 friends. all of them are so charming and endearinggggg. i love them all but i relate to koya the best :> a koala who cant sleep because he thinks too much. perfectly captures joonie's tendency to worry about things a lot. he worries from little crabs to the whole universe. he's such a sensitive fellow. thanks line for helping bts make these

It makes me a bit sad for Yoongi that his character ended up so different from his original ideas, but I do get it. His original character had overlap with both Jimin's, as dog characters, and Jin's, characters with a similar fluffy appearance and similar expressions (although to me that just shows that Jin's alpaca is practically a poodle lmao); the difference from his versus Jimin's and Jin's was RJ and Chimchim were a bit more developed conceptually and so the designers went with those first. I'm not sure why they decided not to do anything with Afroman but maybe they thought it wouldn't really fit in with the other characters since the others are all animal-types (plus an alien XD). (I disagree with the people in the comments saying that he just didn't care and that's why he didn't come up with anything good tho; he kept commenting in previous clips that he hoped the designs they had done were helpful enough and that to me is a sign that he was worried about his designs being useful, and probably just wasn't confident in his drawing skills which may have hindered his creativity.)

I'm shocked Suga had a difficult time contributing to his character and even seemed insecure and nervous about it. I thought he would've been really good at it based off the character he made of himself for his birthday for the label stickers on the gift he made for fans!
