Kerr was completely unrecruited out of high school, he had enrolled at a university as a normal student intending to play intramural basketball when Lute Olsen got hired as the new coach at the U of A and Kerr's high school coach knew Lute and talked him into bringing in Kerr as a "good locker room influence." The reason the ASU fans were saying "PLO" and such was because Kerr's father was assassinated in Beirut.

As a long time fan of the 90's Bulls teams, I've always admired Steve Kerr as a player and now as a coach. Something about the way he carries himself makes me feel like he will always give his bis effort to the game and will not back down from challenges. Good player, great coach and an even better human being. He is worth every penny that GS spends on his salary, and tbh, you cant really quantify in $ what he brings to the team, NBA, and the game of bball altogether.

You have to remember about taxes, what their agent gets, what they spend annually and when they look at net worth, it’s what could be liquid immediately (cash, stocks, real estate, etc). Stuff like cars and jewelry, etc don’t count for much when they consider liquid assets.

I guess in San Francisco a 4,000 sq/ft house is considered a “mansion”. Always like home … until I heard his SJW/woke politics. I actually went to the same American Community School in Beirut (73’ to 75’) as he did but was 2 years older. We were also awarded Lebanese National champion medals for a tournament we played in as 4th or 5th graders.

Steve Kerr is the most overrated coach ever. First of all - he was a terrible GM in phoneix (traded Marion in the Nash/Marion/Stoudimere lineup for a washed up Shaq - ending that Suns era). Mark Jackson and Co built the GSW team (Curry, Thompson, Draymond, etc), Luke Walton was almost 30-0 as a fill in head coach for GS, Kerr has had a loaded team and showed he was nothing but a terrible coach when injuries plauged the GSW two yrs ago)

I wouldn't mind Steve's political views except that he is completely wrong and hypocritical. Steve....you don't need a 4,000 square foot home while there are so many homeless people......how many homeless people have you allowed to shelter at your mansion over the years....my guess is zero.

Maybe, just maybe, it's because he wants government policy to change. Him housing homeless people doesn't fix the root cause of homelessness. Societal problems can only be solved by society as a whole, not one individual. Are you against crime? If so, why aren't you a police officer? How many crimes have you prevented? My guess is zero.
