Honestly, if BTS wanted to burn the James Corden bridge they would’ve done it. We know BTS isn’t forced to do something they don’t want. They decided to give James Corden a second chance and as BTS ARMy we follow them. Namjoon called out Corden and made him apologize in National television. As a whole, BTS and ARMY, we are moving on. Here for BTS and BTS only am I right?

Besides the rambling and uncomfortable way he kept touching Jimin, it's time to put this in the past. Was James sincere? No idea, possibly. Was this just a business move? No idea, most likely. I don't know the answers, I can only assume and give my opinion. Plus I do not like these shows or any of these hosts, they all seem fake to me. Even if he didn't apologise directly, it was clear who held the cards in that interview. James should not be cancelled, he made two jokes which HE assumed were harmless, so his intentions were pure, probably. BUT, he should have known the impact of his words. Either way, it doesn't matter at all. It's addressed, it's done. I don't care about James, never have, never will. Let's enjoy BTS.

I honestly think BTS was not personally offended by the original jokes but was very upset that ARMY was hurt. Namjoon calling JC out and getting an apology on our behalf was the sexiest thing ever.

I don't trust Corden....and he didn't actually apologise either....but RM just cut to the chase and "appreciate your apology". Corden is not the only businessman in the room....RM and BTS showed who is the bigger men...and they actually came on Corden's show to put him in his place.

I am an 83 years old African American female who LOVES BTS. It is very disheartening to read some of the comments not only on this pages but others as well about James Cordin who we really do not know.. Of all the shows BTS has been on in American (Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Corbett, Good Morning America and Ellen) in my opinion, I feel James has expressed his sincere love for BTS from the first time they appeared on his show until now. As RM stated, they were on his show two years ago. If I am not mistaken, James also had them do BUTTER virtually to promote their song. Someone can correct me if I am wrong about that. They did Black Swan on his show; Car Pool, and Dynamite and played "Hide and Seek" Yes, James made a joke that some took offense to but did he need to receive death threats or say BTS should NEVER go on his show again? Well they went. BTS from 2013 until now have shown us how we should live in this world through their songs and speeches. Have we not at sometime messed up and needed to be forgiven by the one we offended? Think about it, they might have felt embarrassed by the way some ARMYs reacted. They showed us on James show that they are bigger than that and how we should behave. There is so much division and hatred in this world, let it not takeover our BTS Fandom (Universe) PLEASE let us move on. I just had to get this off my chest because I have read so many comments about this.

I've seen so many people talking about all sides of this situation, but regardless of your stance on the jokes James made or if you think the apology is sincere, you gotta respect how Namjoon took the opportunity to address the issue in such a public way and did his/BTS's part to lay it to rest. He got an apology out of James that a good population of army wanted but never received but Namjoon also didnt accept it on our behalf. "We appreciate the apology" provides the nuance that those who want to accept the apology can while also not invalidating anyone's feelings who may not. I love that he is on our side and very tactful about how he approaches situations. And it is such a Bangtan thing to be like "why talk about ourselves when we can be doing something for our fans?" Edit: since this is getting attention my personal opinion is that I didn't like the jokes, thought the apology was lackluster, but I'm tired of the situation and just wanna move on to bigger and better things with BTS in the future. BTS said their piece and that is enough for me, but I also won't invalidate the feelings of others. I purple you army 💜

Is he sincere? Who can ever know. James is first and foremost an actor, and his job is to be hype with all his guests. But BTS are clearly comfortable on his show, and that’s what matters. His ‘jokes’ were lame and a bit disrespectful to BTS and ARMY, but not deal breakers IMO.

RM talks a lot about how he makes mistakes and how important is to learn from them, and you guys treat BTS like untouchable perfect people. It is not okay focusing on James like that while he receives death threat because a non-criminal joke. BTS is against stupid things people do toward them, so we should at least not replicate these behaviors. Seems like so many ARMY don't learn from BTS songs, I bet everyone has listened to UGH!, so let's read the lyrics when they say about rage is not okay when affects another person's life.

I think he genuinely has fun with BTS and he does actually make them feel at ease. He seriously gave them face in the beginning of their career when the were just starting to get traction….and he has the same kind of chaotic playful personality that they do. BTS really does like him.

As an older ARMY, I must tell you I have always been terrible at remembering songs and albums. I don't remember which songs are on which album and it's getting worse as I age. However, I am in love with their music, their message and them.

I have the upmost respect for RM for the savage yet diplomatic way he handled this situation. BTS did not have to go back on his show nor did they have to clear up anything. But I feel like they wanted to for ARMYs. To let us know there's no bad blood, we can move on and its all good. But the 1 thing that bothers me the most about it all was that James didn't even apologize. He danced around the subject and rambled about a bunch of nothing to the point where RM had to intervene to end the awkward conversation. And tbh I don't think James even feels or thinks that he did or said anything wrong bc there was no apology (to their faces for everyone to see. Idk if he tweeted anything or said anything to them behind the scenes) and the only reason he felt bad was bc of the backlash. He had an open opportunity to clear the air HIMSELF and didn't take it. Bc I can bet any amount of money that if RM hadn't said anything, it would have never got brought up. At least now I feel ARMYs can finally move and put this behind them. Doesn't mean any of us have to like James but the situation has been put to bed and laid to rest. And to those ARMYs out there that were sending James death threats, SHAME ON YOU! That is embarrassing and disgusting! Regardless of what was said joke or not does not give anyone the right to send death threats to him. DO BETTER ARMYs!

If anyone thinks BTS and James Corden didn't talk through what they were going to discuss in the interview, know that that isn't how it works on American talk shows. Although it wasn't scripted, I'm sure that RM let him know that his mistake WAS going to have to be addressed, not for the sake of BTS, but for the sake of ARMY'S. RM seemed to enjoy putting it behind them.

James doesn't want to apologize, if he wanted to he would've done that months ago or as soon as he learned about the backlash. But he didn't. I believe RM just said that they appreciate the "apology" to put the Armys at ease.

I love Namjoon for this. He and the boys handled this beautifully. This is how you handle things. Showing who's alpha by grace. Let's just move on and focus our energy on supporting bangtan. And yeah, DT is never okay, dang...

BTS is actually quite mature when it comes to their haters or disrespectful people, they don’t seem to hold a grudge unless it’s a statement they are trying to make to unassociate themselves. They were on “You quiz on the block” after that controversy with younger JK & one of the tv show’s hosts which shows that they are mature enough to move on. If they can move on, we ARMYs can move on too, while knowing at the back of our minds that the relationship is purely for business purposes.

i genuinely feel like the whole situation was blown out of proportion and we should simply move on and not dwell on the past. bc while they were filming the crosswalk concert the boys looked like they were having the time of their lives and in the end that’s all that really matters..

He spoke of "Film Out" when song came out, he said he liked Jimin's "Promisse" and the favorite song of "BE" is "Fly to My Room" (in other words, he knows there is more music than "Dynamite" our "Butter"😏).

Namjoon was like, before you ask us anything, let's talk about this giant elephant in the room. He get a confession out of him in such a smooth way. James was definitely taken aback and had no choice but talk about it. Namjoon is really diplomatic and he will do so well in politics if he chooses to. I have never seen anyone so chill in handling such an awkward situation. And I have never seen a group so in tuned with each other. I'm sure they talked about it when it happened and decide on their attitude going forward. We ARMY don't know if they were bothered by what James said. But when RM brought it up right away, it's clear that they knew about it all along and they understand why ARMY will be outraged by his inappropriate comments! When Namjoon acknowledges ARMY, my heart skip a beat! He was like "I heard you're in hot water with ARMY" I am so proud to be an ARMY! BTS and ARMY loved him and we were just minding our own business watching BTS at the UN and he had a sudden brilliant idea of poking fun at us and thought it's a good idea. His show is all about trolling famous people and news and this time he decided to pick on BTS and their ARMY. Other people don't have this massive fandom to defend them but BTS do. He should have known better. I love that Namjoon did not apologize on behalf of ARMY after all the excuses and playing victim on JC side. I was waiting for Anthony to respond to this reunion Edit: I’m happy with how the interview went. I love the professionalism and straight-to-the-point approach that RM took by having James sweat a little, getting him to apologize, and then saying “we appreciate the apology”, which is a blank space response for ARMY to either take as an acceptance or take as a non acceptance. Either way, BTS came to James Corden’s show when they didn’t have to if they didn’t want to. If they are giving him a second chance, then so should we. I do believe James is an actual ARMY and I believe all other ARMYS taught him a lesson in what he did wrong. Some jokes sound funny in some people’s heads but sound insensitive/cruel to others and I believe that was what happened. I’m happy they reunited and cleared the tension.

I'm an Army, an Asian, I know there are a lot of Americans and Europeans who still have prejudices and hate Asians in general and BTS in particular. but you see we will protect BTS who represent Asia, the same way BTS protects us. there are actually ARMYs who are very sensitive about this because they know BTS has suffered a lot. In the past, present and future BTS has always been the great pride of Asian Army, so we will not let any jokes, words, or actions affect BTS.

Anthony, I really think you have this all wrong. James really does love the boys, he speaks of them often, unprovoked. And NO, the boys do not go back on shows when they feel disrespected. there are many instances where they have never gone back. they would not have been there if they didn't want to be. I'm sure this was all scripted as a way to get James off the hook with ARMY in a way that made RM look like he called James out. I don't think they were offended at all. This whole thing was blown way out of proportion and the boys just let everyone know that they are still good with James. If you see footage of their shoot in the crosswalk you would think differently, they were having a great time and they recorded 3 songs like that. There is NO way they would have spent all day doing that if they were upset with Cordon.

Uhhh the way he took every opportunity to put his hands on Jimin. So uncomfortable and weird. He was all over him. Also, for me personally, I think the Papa Mochi thing is getting old now and it just gets more and more cringe and uncomfortable every time he brings it up. Even Jimin was like “😳😦” for a couple seconds when James sprung it on him in the interview before he answered. Also, the way James says it every time like he’s talking to a 5 year old 😖. Dunno. It was funny/cute(?) that one time in carpool karaoke, but it’s just getting weird and overdone now 😭. I think he has a thing for Jimin (not like he’s obsessed or anything, he just… likes him.. a lot) and it’s a known fact Jimin draws people in, he’s a beautiful stunning human on both the outside and inside. But I don’t think it’s hard to admire someone but also respect them and boundaries. And I don’t think the excessive touching and the way he talks to him is that respectful. If anyone disagrees that’s fine, this is just my opinion based on my own experiences and feelings. About the main issue. Honestly, I think his his comments were made out of ignorance and poor taste. He didn’t mean to be malicious. But it definitely is an example of bigger societal issues that need to be addressed. I’ll be an adult about it and move on, since that was obviously the point and end goal of the discussion on the show. But I do hope that James does his part to educate himself. And I hope that this can be an example of how societal norms and stereotyping can affect people negatively. I also think that ARMY needs to get into their heads that these show hosts and interviewers, people like that are not ‘ARMY’ in the same way we are. It’s all show business. I cringe at them saying they’re ARMY the same way I do when the fake reactors on KZfaq listen to one song, talk over it or sit there looking bored most of the video, then be like “OMG THAT WAS THE BEST THING EBER IM ARMYYYY NOW.” We also need to remember that this is first and foremost business. I don’t pretend to know the boys personally, but it’s not like they’re chatting every day and and gossiping in a WhatsApp group chat with James. I mean maybe they are, but I doubt it. We need to learn and remember that things are much more nuanced and there’s not just ARMY and Not ARMY. There’s all different kinds of relationships and we need to learn to read between the lines and not take peoples words at face value 100% of the time.

The only thing that matters to me is that they are fine and decided that the problem was fixed. We as fans have to respect their choices. We may not like it, but they showed the big heart they have.

Bts proves how mature and intelligent they are. RM put the issue on the table at the first second of the show , for Army. He let Corden try to explain himself then cut him with "we appreciate your apology" . I laught so hard at this time because Corden dont even apologize, but RM forced him to look as if he does. And Jimin bring the sweetness "I believe in you"... a cute way to say to Corden "we give you a second chance but don't cheat again with Army ". Well done BTS. im a twitter army, and i can assure you, the people who sent death threats were not army. they were all annoying troll accounts disguised as army, they werent even following bts. actual armys said that he was unprofessional for saying that, not death threats. james tried to make himself the victim here and namjoon wasnt having it. he cut his rabbling off and said ok just apologize. why would you even bring up the death threats in front of them anyways ? not all of us are like that. vast majority of us are not like that. its setting a fake image to antis and locals that armys are insane when it wasnt even army sending those death threats

I truly admire how BTS handled this awkward situation with grace and finesse. Corden’s non-apologetic apology was unsatisfactory to say the least because he tried to pull the victim card. What’s with the comment about having seen Armys at their absolute best, just to highlight that he was a victim of the more savage comments. So, thanks but no thanks, James. You are there as a platform, nothing more, so try not to make yourself up as the biggest fan of BTS.

BTS are really smart and can be savage at times. They have made some good points on this interview without sounding negative. RM’s clearing of the issue and also Tae’s answer, he included that they are like entertainers more than singers but still ended it in a positive way. Even RM also said that on other contents that they have so much going on non music related stuff. They have to cater to millions of people, deal with the industry while maintaining their original selves which is not so easy to do. These guys worked so hard all their lives and we just hope they get everything they deserve and have a happy life they wanted despite the situation.

I love how BTS gave James a chance to explain. I feel the love (of BTS to armies) on how Namjoon call out James up front and personal in a humorous way when he had the chance to do so. This just shows how BTS appreciates, values, respects and love Armies around the globe. I also love how all members lets Jin do some talking and how savage he was with his answers. The humor, sarcasm and wittiness put into one was cuteness overload. It was their way of saying to James and a warning...(We know what you did and we are watching you together with our armies). Nice one Jin! 👏👏👏😜 And in fairness to James, I admire the humility he showed. I also admire BTS for having such a good heart and for choosing peace.

This was so cringy, but the boys were very professional. I don't care if JC is sincere or not, but every Army that watched BTS being genuinely enthusiast in various situations can see they are just professional. It is true that I am not comfortable with a corner of my mind throughout this talk show. However, after listening to RM's talk, I came to respect RM again. B-Armys as myself go to great lenghts to show they are all loved and cherished because of who they are, who they try to be and their talent. I think they talked about this before, Namjoon wasnt there to "be savage" as some armys are saying. He just wanted to clear the air, put the situation behind them and show armys its ok. The best part for me, and the one that was probably a surprise for James was "we appreciate you apology", because James didnt apologise, but it showed that what he said deserved an apology. Love Namjoon for that

We are all forgetting this was probably scripted. James publicist probably reached out to Bighit as soon as everything went down. And both parties probably discussed it. Not to mention BTS hung out with James the entire day before shooting the interview and they HAD to have talked about it and prepped the conversation for the taping so as to quell Army from being toxic and sending unalive threats to James. It was handled as professionally as possible. What James said was meh and unfunny but I don't think it warranted the wrath of Army.

RM did a similar thing when they went back on Ellen after her culturally insensitive questions about their dating etc the previous time. He just straight away addressed it, cleverly and in a lighthearted way. I think when he does these things it's more for Army than for the american hosts 😉

The second thing he said was, when one interviewer said they sold out 4 days of Sofi stadium shows and namjoon said "yes, its sold out. Always sold out" LIKE damn, my man so hot. The third is in this corden show. WE ARE SO STOKED cause namjoon literally be like "So James, you got beef with our armys, how do u feel bro? wanna explain yourself?" LMAO. Thats literally the first thing he mention in the interview he's like, we aint talking about us, until you come clear about what you said to our armys. yes, youre right. death threats is no way acceptable, but i hate his tone when he mentioned it. its like he wants to villanize armys infron of Namjoon like "your fans told me to die". ofc namjoon did not mentioned about his mistake just so corden can counterattack with how 'some' fans use negative words. Cause the truth is he is wrong and should apologize and most of us didnt even resolve to giving death threats. But they didnt show respond to what corden said, so he quickly switch to complimenting armys bla bla bla. What people may not know if you aren't from Southern California is that only a portion of this interview was aired on local TV last night. Not sure why. For TV it was edited down to only about 5 minutes rather than the full 10 minute interview on KZfaq. They only showed the ARMY 'apology' discussion, Jimin's exercising discussion, and a little talk of Grammy and AMA's. THAT'S IT! Not sure why because there was so much good content?!!!

James say it's was a joke he didn't apologie but RM came to clair the situation and he said we apreciate your apologie he did well. BTS was not as before with james they were cold and i liked it.

The only TV show host I trust is Jimmy Fallon because since the beginning I felt like James Corden was doing too much and it felt really fake and he's been acting friendly because it's his job and it didn't felt genuine in comparison Jimmy Fallon always seemed real and genuinely happy to see BTS and we could tell that the boys were also comfortable around him and genuinely liked him. What I like the most in Namjoon reaction (we appreciate your apology), is that he cut Corden who was not literally apologizing, but just justifying himself, and by this sentence, he made this blabla become an apology, because he wanted us to have one. That’s big ! And he also lets us know that we need to move on, that they are ok to continue using this show to link with us and have fun for us (the video corden is talking about is really fun, Army posted some bits on yt, they had to dance at a traffic red light, and it was really fun and they did seem to enjoy themselves.) and are ok also for Corden to use them.
