I believe Seokjin played a very important part in creating that dynamic. He was like neither of the other members. He wasn't rich but he wasn't poor either. Yet he still brought himself down stealing pots and clothes from his parents house to make his members feel more comfortable, sacrificing his own time to pack lunch and breakfast for the boys when they went to school, picking up and dropping off kookie, teaching Jimin how to set aside his anxieties and live life not only for the sake of living it but for the sake of making it a better place while enjoying it. I can never forget how namjoon set that Jin was his left leg or Yoongi learning what happiness meant when he went out and ate with Jin. They all played a rule but Seokjin a young kid himself, set aside every ounce of pride he had and brought himself down as the oldest to create an environment where not only they felt comfortable in but also developed as individuals. He was and still is the bridge that connects BTS to the company. Tae had said it on multiple occasions that Jin is the one who delivers their messages to the big boss - those messages that they felt uncomfortable to convey themselves. and I am glad...... I am glad that these were the members Jin was put up with because they always always show their gratitude and respond in kind. they have his back just like he has theirs. they truly are the greatest family out there.

Keep in mind that when Jungkook was saying "I was 15" he's talking in Korean age. So he was actually 13-14 when he joined. Not only that, but when he said “I finally graduated today,” he was talking about middle school, not high school 🤯 Our boy was a baby 😂

ABOUT Jimin and his diet...it actually went to extremes, to the point he fels like fainting and had to be approached by the members, Jungkook even said he would aslo starve if Jimin wouldn't stop, you could see Jimin almost faint/faint a couple of times during those times - and it's just what we saw

Bang PD said in an interview, he didn't want to fabricate the members with preset molds into Idols. He saw BTS as a team who was taking classes learning life ever day, like going to Idol school not a factory. He is an artist himself and made sure the talents of the guys were nurtured. Not only the artistic talents but also the human kind talents. I personally think that BigHit is also providing the opportunity of professional counseling. (to many suicides in KPop) The BTS VLive+ Bon Voyage shows what I'm talking about. Every year they travel to different countries and not as vacationing celebrities. They will sleep in campers, tents and AirBnB. They pitch their tents, shop for groceries and use public transportation. Army's who recognizes them, respectfully leave them be. I also believe that BTS is in a financial partnership with BigHit, which would be a new concept in the KPop industry.

Actually, only Jungkook used to have the possessiveness quality when he was young becuz he's the youngest and all the other BTS members spoil him (esp when Jungkook join when he was only 13). So when Jungkook said that he was taught not to be selfish was actually from the members. BTS went thru a lot of hardships together, therefore they know not to take things for granted and know how to treasure everything good in life esp cuz they didn't have anything when they debuted. So when you said that BTS was taught to have higher values, I think it's more from their life experiences and what they went thru together, and that contributes to how BTS view life with higher values. Just like myself, no one taught me how to have values or how to treasure things in life, I have to learn those by myself as I go thru my hardships. BTS members already have a great, pure personalities to start out with, plus the hardships they went thru, those things made up their high values (not something that someone can just teach them). Sorry my english is not that great, but I hope I get my point across.

I just want to clear up the misconception of Yoongi being "cold", "savage", and "moody". He is one of the sweetest, kindest, softest, most caring person in the world. Do you know that Yoongi has never raised his voice at anyone before? He doesn't like to fight or get hurt and he cries when his members cry. Yoongi is just an introvert and like most introverts, he gets tired from social interactions after a while and needs to be by himself to recharge. Things like people invading his personal space can make him anxious. Yoongi isn't moody, he is quiet and reflective and an introvert. But he is also playful, loud, mischievous, and many other things. Like all the members of BTS, Yoongi is not a one dimensional character with just one personality.

What you said at 7:39 - "anyone can learn, u just have to be taught" - tbh that's why i truly believe the more people who follow bts, the better this world will be. they were taught these values and stuck by them, and are now imparting them to a whole generation of people. it's more than just music, it's this whole... movement, ideology, culture, etc.

Yoongi is an introvert, so I can relate to him. It's just a certain quality introverts have, it's not exactly being moody.

Yoongi used to suffer from depression and anxiety, he also said once that he was still afraid of the crowd. Knowing this, it's very logical not to want anyone to invade your personal space.

V found out about his grandma's passing when he was in the Philippines. He was raised living with her on their farm...so she was like a second mother for him in the day to day...and he had a concert that night that he found out...and he performed it, because he didn't want to disappoint ARMY. (He didn't tell anyone other than members/staff about her death for almost two months. They are really private and protective of their families.) They REALLY love ARMY. You'll see, in live videos and at their concert, they all (but especially Tae...he always has his hand on his heart when looking at ARMY) try to make sincere eye contact and really SEE as many individuals as they can. Tae's grandma's advice to him was to always treasure his fans.

They were at their teens when they got in the agency. Instead of playing and going out with frnds, experiencing love and heartbreak (like all other teens), they were placed in an idol world where they are given different responsibilities and tasks day by day. They were being ADULTS at a time when they were supposed to be teens. So we will be here for all of you guys. For whatever it is they are going through - the good and the bad - AYMYs will always be here for you. 💜💜💜💜

Mr. Bang told them just to be them, that they dont have to be afraid of everything. They can fight of what they think is right and they can do everything that can help them to grow. They can make mistake so they can learn from it and they are also learning and teaching each other. They are filling the lack of each member and making themselves better with each other. They are not a group...they are FAMILY. They never treat anyone just a group member but they are brothers. They are open about their personal things like problems and concern that makes their bond stronger and from that they are putting those into a song that connects and inspires the listener. They are really different in a very good way. And we are happy that you are not just enjoying but you are being inspired by them. HI DT. Looking at Jimin💜 (my bias) today is far different from when he started out. He was chubby faced, short and was made fun of (rice cake face) for one. Being the personality he is, he went on that strict diet to lose weight and made himself sick. The members pulled him out it. V💜 came from a very poor (farmers) family. That is why his grandmother raised him. Suga💜 suffered from depression and anxiety. His parents sort of disowned him because of his decision to pursue music. That was pressure enough. He had to chose whether to buy food for the day or catch transportation to the little job he had. He had a moment on the stage when he saw his parents at one of his concerts; he fell on his knees,crying and said "at last I am good") Jungkook💜 was just a baby 13-14 years of out of middle school (15 years Korean age) was taught by BTS to share; since they all lived in one room. All seven of them have had their moments (losing girlfriends) because of the strict life style they had to conform to; rehearsals for concerts; traveling schedules; being gone so many weeks or months out of the year. That put pressure on a teenage relationship ( they were teenagers at that time); could have even been harder if married. Yes, but I sure those girls are sorry now. BTS sacrificed much to develop into the young men they are today. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜. Remember, when that video was made they were still developing into the BTS we see today and they are STILL GROWING!!!!

The whole learning thing, it was Jungkook talking about himself and how they "his 6 hyungs" taught him how to overcome this,,, he was really young when he joined the team about 14 or 15 years and he kept learning from them.

Suga's parents were not supportive of his dreams coz his father just wanted him to be a regular employee back then but left home to pursue his dreams, jin is the son of a ceo his father didnt approve of him being a performer as well he was only given a year i think to make it if they dint he has to go back home

Coz when they were starting..as a trainee.. they don't have any,so they need to work hard,they need part time jobs for them warn and survive they've work hard.so that's how suga got into an accident.thats exactly the reason why how much they value everything they have and how much they value army because of love and support from them too.

My fav is Festa 2018 and 2019. But watching Festa 2014 and 2015 now so overwhelming for me, because they talk about dream they want, how they afraid to dream big.

When you talk about values, I feel that values that these guys uphold which shows in their brotherhood and their interaction with others, you can’t help seeing that this is what we need in this world. We need to learn to be selfless, to care more, to show kindness to the people you love around you. They are not only showing us through their music, the important messages about issues on life, but they are also showing us that the way they carry themselves, the value they uphold, will cast its spell on all who adores them. I do believe honestly, they can change the world, one army at a time. We in turn can make this world a nicer place.

I'm not saying other groups didn't have to go through hardships but we all know the bts' hardships were wayy bigger. They were literally bullied in Korea for being themselves and doing what they wanted to do. So when Armys start having a go at people who are hating on bts, we are not being toxic, we are being defensive because and know and understand what bts has gone through and how much it affects the members. We're so used to celebrities acting like celebs that this kind of candid confession on their part - "We're not perfect" is worthy of respect. Some things you simply cannot fake.. some things we've actually seen happen over the years. We, as fans, know they're not perfect. There are probably better dancers and singers out there but to us, they're perfect as they are. Their communication game is solid. The way they solve problems, handle feedback and are just.. constantly motivating each other is why they're such great role models. They're a great example of teamwork.

They show their love for each other and the people around them. But I’ve also see clips of Jimin standing at the edge of the stage and telling security to help a girl that was being crushed. He stayed there till he knew she was alright. I watched Jungkook jump from the stage and thank a disabled person for coming to their concert. Taehyung helped a fan up after they tripped. Suga wrote out 300 cards and bought snacks and drinks for the fans for his birthday and there are many more things they’ve done. They are amazing and if more people could see them and learn from them we wouldn’t be having to scream about Black Lives Matter or even listening to hate comments. People would see the value they should have for themselves and then see the value that others have no matter where or who you are. Yoongi has battled depression and social anxiety for long. There was even a concert for which he couldnt attend because he was overcome with fear and it was one if the saddest times for both bts and armys. Thankfully he has gotten a lot better. Their company has therapists assigned for the members to get councelling from time to time, due to the immense pressure and the hate and threats they get from haters are just too much.

BTS didn't have it easy. they have been trainees for years before their debut. they had to live away from their families and live together. the amount of their sacrifice is just, wow! they worked hard to be where they are now and the ARMY recognized that. and it is what drives us to work hard for them too, as our way of giving back to them for showing us that we have reasons to love ourselves, to be happy, to be kind and be a better person.

I was extremely emotional when jungkook said he was only 15(13-14) joined the industry and started to work. That was the time he supposed to do silly teen things, meeting same age friends, and fall in love. Instead, he was in an industry full of adults. Though they love him and help raise him to become a great man. But he still missing out a normal life. That's what we need to appreciate, when we see them on stage.

I think what attracts and binds fans to BTS is their sincerity.

I love the guys deeply and they truly changed my life. I also wish them happiness in their personal lives - so that if they want to, they find a partner and start a relationship. But I don't think that this can be a reason to judge any girl who broke up with any of them. Relationship is about many more things than someone being good or right and someone being bad or wrong. Not everyone is a good fit for each other, and really, having that much work often does not leave time or energy to truly nurture a relationship. I just hope it will work out for any of them in the future.

You're right about their values. Korean society is Confucian-influenced society. As Koreans they profess Confucian value system. Confucian culture is integrated on so many different levels in the society. It affects Korean's mindset, ethics, social structure, political system, and lifestyle. You can understand their society just by studying the fundamentals of Korean Confucianism. "In Korea the human relationships were respected as part of the daily value system. Those who occupy the “prior” social positions were rulers, parents, husbands, older siblings and friends, and senior colleagues; those who hold the “posterior” positions were subjects, children, wives, younger siblings and friends, and junior colleagues. Most Koreans believed that the former must show benevolence and protection in a virtuous manner, while the latter should demonstrate respect and collaboration in a trustworthy way". You can see their respect towards older people and seniors (sunbaenims). Korean society is hierarchical. Family is very important. It's in the first place tho today's young Koreans tend to break these values more and more (influenced by the modern, western manner). Even though BTS have always rebelled against the traditional norms, society's high expectations on young generation, the hypocrisy of the public systems, the class distinction, they still have that Confucian ethics background. Western way will remain unfamiliar to them. For good or worse.

you know .. they are all willing to sacrifice to help one another, the people around them (staff and managers) played a big role to be a good influence to them .. they're kids and needed guidance, the mindset that the company have from artists to their staff helped develop their characters. if the managers, staff and ceo was just like those from other toxic agencies, they would probably end up just like other idols that has great talent but was neglected due to abuse of power and greed for money. good thing that Bang PD created his own company to combat that and slowly but surely change how artists should be treated .. they gave hope to other smaller agencies that they can do it too 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 this is not just our 7 boys but everyone around them including their families and real friends 💜💜💜💜

To be honest, in Asian culture, it's more about the community, the group, than about yourself. They learn from a very young age to put the needs of the many before the needs of one. Which is why the Love Myself slogan resonnates a lot: BTS wants you to know that your voice matters, that your individuality is precious and should not be erased. But they also teach you that there is strenght in union and that they are stronger together.

I partially agree with you on one point-- they are definitely emotional guys, but I think it's more that they allow themselves to show that emotion. Everyone is capable of feeling deeply, but to be open enough to show that emotion to the world and in turn use it to heal and comfort is taking it to the next level. I think that's where the success truly comes from, because Army can feel how genuine they and apparent they are.

I think their group mindset is a combination of many things, and most we’ll never really know. However, we do know Bang PD always had the idea of group over individual member. Also, they’ve mentioned several times that having gone through all the struggles they did together, made them feel like a family. And, they did start off living all 7 in 1 room of an apartment they also had to share with a manager, that only had 1 bathroom! They have some funny stories on their first impressions, like Hobi hanging out in his underwear.

I'm always amazed thinking of how young the boys were when they joined the company, went thru training, and debuted. In 2013, they were 21 (Jin), 20 (Suga), 19 (j-hope and RM), 18 (Jimin and V) and 16 (JK). RM started with the company in 2010, and JK started auditioning in 2011 so they all left home and school, etc. at pretty young ages. They're just precious babies in their earlier pics so you can really see just how young they were and how much they've grown and become great adults. I'm so glad they were able to get along and became a family or we wouldn't have BTS as we know them today. JK really was a lucky maknae...just imagine Jin packing your lunch and Yoongi signing your permission slips...too cute.
