The press in America is so crazy .I can't help but think of the Korean press at award shows all you can hear is there cameras clicking.This must have been so frighten to BTS there first time at a award show in 2017 .I still remember TXT on red carpet this year at Wango Tango they look frighten to death. Best part about this crazy press is Jimin, he laughs and go along with and get a kick out of this craziness.

I’m sure you will learn something new: BTS, ”Bangtan Sonyeondan” 방탄소년단 in Korean Hangul is roughly translated to ”Bullet Proof Scoutboys” (and that’s why their fans officially got named A.R.M.Y, which also stands for Adorable Representative for Youth. BTS explained the significant meaning behind it. ARMY is military in English, the body armor and military are always together, so it means that the fans will always be together with Bangtan). One of their singles from their 2013 debute album is ”We Are Bulletproof Pt.2”. Since there isn’t an exact correct English translation of Bangtan Sonyeondan, they now go by BTS ”Beyond The Scene”. BTS have broken barrieres globally like no other young artists or boybands have before them, both when it comes to language and race. Imagine a music group with 7 Korean boys 20 years ago, it would just never have happened and they still struggle acceptance. The world has not seen a craziness for artists like this since the Beatles. They have broken world records after world records and keep doing (album charts, physical album sales in this digital era, streamings on all kinds of platforms, tweets, selling out stadiums with the fastest sell-outs ever, 5 stadiums sold out in a single day, and tickets to Wembley sold out in 90 minutes which made BTS add more tour dates etc). These are stadium arenas that only the biggest superstars get to perform at such as Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Ed Sheeran etc. These artists have problems even filling the arenas, definitely not selling out in within 2 hours from release. Moreover these other artists need to have front acts, middle acts and end acts, whereas BTS go alone. Their latest concert film ”Love Yourself in Seoul” (shot on Aug. 26, 2018, at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul during their first leg of the BTS World Tour: Love Yourself, had the biggest worldwide one-day box office ever for a cinema event. The film was released two months after their previous record-smashing film ”Burn The Stage”. The initial run broke One Direction’s record for the highest-grossing event cinema concert production. "Boy With Luv feat. Halsey" is the biggest 24 hr debute in KZfaq History. Last year 2018 they were on the cover of Times Magazine. In native S.Korea they are superstars, national icons and have become ”ambassadors” for Korean popular culture. The economy is growing because of them as they have contributed to an impressive large increase of tourism like no other before. BTS alone bring 3.7 billion dollars every year into the S.Korean economy. In Oct 2018 they were awarded the honorable Order Of Cultural Merit by the S.Korean government and president. When they recieved their statuettes, each member was presented with their talents/skills and position in the group. The 3 rappers are: *RM (Main rapper, Leader of BTS, possesses incredible producing skills, made amazing contributions by placing #1 on the Billboard 200 with two consecutive albums - the first Korean artist to do so, (now it’s three albums and BTS is the first artists since The Beatles to score 3 #1 albums in less than a year etc). *Suga (Lead rapper, possesses solid rapping skills, contributes greatly to K-pop being loved by fans all over the world by showcasing incredible talents such as writing lyrics and composing songs). *J-hope (Main dancer, in charge of the choreography of BTS, possesses excellent dance skills, plays a large role in gathering attention to the world, completing the powerful and elaborate performances of BTS etc). The 4 vocalists are: *Jungkook (shown remarkable talents in all fields, including vocals, dance, songwriting and rap, contributed greatly to BTS to spreading out to the world together with Hallyu - the Korean Wave etc). *Jimin (Lead Vocalist and Main dancer, acting as an all-around entertainer who possesses not only excellent dancing skills but also amazing vocals etc). *Jin (Vocalist, shown multi-faceted talents through his deep emotional comprehension, unique vocals, participating in lyrics writing, leading the movement for the globalization of K-pop etc) *V (Vocalist, singer/songwriter, charge of killing part of the songs with his deep charismatic voice, working to spread Hallyu all over the world etc). After recieving their medals all 7 members gave individual speeches. Their hard work and multi-talents have made them won the biggest musical Korean awards (so called ”Daesangs”) in the K-music industry multiple times. They are the most decorated K-artists ever. (Girl group ”Girl’s Generation” is in 2nd). The fact that BTS was totally ignored by Grammy 2020 is scandalous without a legit excuse. BTS had the best-selling album 2019 and hit youtube record with ”Boy with luv”. They litterally out-sold all the albums that are nominated for ”Album of the year”. BTS is high-end on all levels, which is something that alot of people have a hard time to admit or accept. Some say BTS aren’t American, but it doesn’t matter. Look at the categories and all non-American people who are nominated this year and have in the past. What’s the difference? BTS came from nothing (the small, poor, no-name company BigHit Entertainment) and started out as teenagers 7 years ago. With limited economy BTS lived together in a cheap, small, simple dorm all 7 boys cramped together sharing one toilet and shower etc. There was no lavish living for them. The litterally grew up together like family, and oldest members Jin and Suga used to drive the youngest member Jungkook to school, who was only 13 when he joined their label BigHit, and was 15 years old at their debute. In Korea the youngest is called the maknae, and Jk got nicknamed the Golden maknae because of his brilliance in everything; all kinds of sports in which he’s also won in since he is so strong and determined (no pressure, let’s not forget he is a human too). Then there are ofc singing (he has one of the best voices in S.Korea. On their first album he was only 15 years), dancing, rapping, drawing, painting, composing, movie making like his own films called G.C.F’s too etc) When debuting BTS wore cheap clothes (no Gucci, Chanel, LV or such), and had a small simple practice room. Their staff were acting in their music videos because of limited economy. They didn’t even have money to rent a car and used one of their staff’s car. Their music videos are high-end, have such high quality, are so incredibly well-done with such details, authentic scenery and creations with minimal CGI. They are stunning and there is so much work put into their music videos. BTS has worked their asses off with blood, sweat and tears for acceptance, love, success and gained millions of fans, so called armys around the world, both women and men in all ages. They have fans who are not only young girls idolizing them but also adults who really admire them for the amazing hard working, multi-talented artists, dancers, singers, rappers, performers, songwriters, composers and producers they are. Their stage prescence is outstanding, which is especially obvious when watching other groups perform. No matter of tireness, jet-lag, stress or such, they always give their all when performing on stage and dance their hearts out. In their beginning some were sceptical to their somewhat ”tougher” style and with alot of rapping (without gloryfying drugs, demeaning women, brag about sports cars, flaunting their money etc) but they proved them wrong. They really slayed their debute performances, didnt look like rookies at all. They have gotten so much well-deserved respect by Korean artists and people in the K-music industry, as well as from other big Western artists. I can’t help by thinking of all the struggles and sacrifices that we know BTS have gone through both individually and as a group in their early years. Their tears on stage during their speeches at concerts and award shows are heartbreaking. Their gratefullness to their armys who they appreciate, encourage and care so much about and don’t want to worry or disappoint is touching. We will always love them for who they are though. It’s sad that alot of Western media ignore and reduce BTS, and that alot of Western countries won’t play their music on their radio channels. Those are people who don’t know anything about BTS but still are underestimating them as just another K-pop group among all others who are all nothing but short-lived girl idols without identity content or depth. Please step back with your predjudice about BTS (and other K-artists). BTS’s albums are highly complex concept albums. Their lyricism are on another level with well-written, poetical, intertwined ”deeper”, hidden stories, messages and connections with the other songs on the same album, as well as with previous albums. Their work is inspired by litterature, art, philosophy. The fact that BTS is producing, composing and writing (sometimes co-writing) their own songs and lyrics is truly admirable. The member’s amazing solo songs are ofc also written by themselves or with members in BTS. RM has over 140 songs under his name, all masterpieces. He is a prodigy in the music industry and is underrated. This never happened with any of those past big Western boy bands before them, (as well as other successful artists today). They got all their trivial, empty, same similiar pop-songs written for them, always by the same (but great) people in Sweden (boybands like Backstreet Boys, N*sync, Westlife, Boyzone, 5ive etc). In comparison to BTS they lacked dancing skills or couldn’t dance at all, without having better vocals. BTS are the best idol/artist dancers in the industry period.
