This was the first BTS video I ever saw (actually, my first kpop video as well), and still is one of my favorites by BTS. I love the energy in it.

Altogether they have at least 8+ years of dance and singing experience, some more than others like.... J-hope has 10+ yrs of dancing experience since he was a famous street/underground dancer RM & Suga were legit underground rappers Jimin & JungKook also have previous dancing experience Jin didnt really have a music background...Jin is the son of a well known CEO of a company and V is a son of farmers but he did play the saxophone and took acting & singing lessons! They still had to work extremely hard in dancing & singing to be able to keep up with the rest of the members which they did very well (They were more or less scouted & recruited cuz of their visuals but as you can see they had the talent all long it just needed to be tapped into which they did though brutal training (non stop practicing)!

They used to practice for 15 hours/day earlier. Now it's close to 8 hrs. Most hard working group I've ever seen

Back when they were trainees they had to practice 12 hours a day until they were able to sync well overtime as they gotten much better and the practicing time produce down to about 6 hours (includes vocals, appeal, and stage rehearsal practices) but that’s still allot of hours to put into a practice to make sure everything is on a timely point....they are made to believe they can’t afford to mess up but that doesn’t matter to majority of us fans because they are humans and no one is perfect but they beat themselves up anyway even if we assure them it’s 100% okay!

He specifically dressed up as Detective Conan a really popular anime character RM - Hotel porter/Bellboy Jin - Doctor Suga - Fire fighter officer ( alot of ppl still mistake him as pilot or military sergeant because of the drones but its not. He is wearing the Korean in-house firefigther uniform.)

Dope may seem like a song about having swag but this song comments on the society's diff generations (like baby boomers/gen x and y/ millenials) are under economic difficulties and ills in society. They also talked about how bts worked hard to get to the top (instead of clubbing and doing normal things ppl their age do, they were practicing and working hard to reach success). BTS is one of those bands who are not afraid to mix socio-political commentaries with pop beats. Songs like: "Go-go": pokes fun at yolo culture and consumerism "Not today": the anthem for the underdogs and those who experience inequality. The term "crow tit" (or baepsae) is rooted from a korean idiom and roughly translates to someone lower in rank in society / millenial "Baepsae" - the harsh treatment the younger gen has to go through in order to catch up people with authority / older gen (example: no pay in exchange for experience / exposure, etc) "Spinebreaker" - pokes fun at the youth's fascination with designer brands and luxury goods at the expense of their parents wallets "Spring day" - this song is about longing and missing a friend but the mv subtly touches the case of the sinking of sewol ferry where a lot of students died due to the negligence of the crew. The administration at that time didnt handle the situation quite well. You'll find a lot of references of that (and the book "the ones who walk away from omelas") in the video. Hon mentions: "Sea" - talks about the hardships and prejudice they faced as a grp from a small company. This song talks about their fears, struggles, and what lies beyond the hardships. One of their bests songs tbh. "Tomorrow"- talks about how hard it is to find your purpose in life, when you thought everything was possible when you were a kid. This talks about the frustrations of finding that path for you,not giving up hope, and to be brave inspite of challenges. There i wrote an essay lol i know a lot of bts songs are bops but most of their songs have deep meanings that deal with self love, struggles of youth and society, individualism, with references hailing from art, literature, and even psychology.
