also, they didn‘t use any CGI for the MV. Everything was real (yes even the faaling floors and the fire), they showed some behind the scenes of the shooting on vlive(on the comeback show in LA). You should check it out!

Also at the beginning, u can see they used cgi for the background, a 3d model of the hands with the blending. I understand that they really hang on the idea of using of practical effects and that's why the mv itself was so aéthetically pleasing to the eyes

Idk if anyone explained it yet but you pointed out how it looks like they’re dancing on a ruined version of the DNA set. This is actually true bc RM said that the last album focused on the beautiful parts of love but this one focuses on the darker sides. So yes, that is a ruined DNA set, because love isn’t always as beautiful as we want it to be. Thank you for the genuine reaction, as always!! Be safe at the BBMAs!

There’s a really good theory thread I read on Twitter Music Moments made by @ilsanqueen. Jin - fear of uncontrollable situations RM- fear of surviving life Suga- fear of being depended on Jhope - fear of abandonment Jimin - fear of death/unreal paradise V- fear of himself Everyone has their own theories. But I found that theory tread really good and easy to understand.

The video is genius showing the opposite dark side of Love Yourself: Her. Taking scenes, fashion, and choreo from past MVs and putting a dark spin on it. A lot of the choreo they're doing in an opposite direction. Such detail for symbolism. Also react to UNB and Uni.T.

The snickers in Hobi's scene might compensate for the pills in his MAMA short film in WINGS. Some of the snickers are painted with red or yellow paint. The pills in MAMA were yellow and red. The carnival stuff is when his mom left him. That's basically a theory I'm pretty sure about. GREAT reaction!!!

To me it seems like they are trapped in some kind of purgatory, constantly having to relive their various traumas while being cut off from each, kind of trapped in their own personal hell ever since Blood, Sweat and Tears. The earlier videos where they are always together is when they were alive, until I Need You and Run where they seem to have killed themselves. The hooded figure at the end appears to be the guy Sugar shakes hand (made a deal with?) with at the start of Fire. V looks like he's in Hell, the way the video descends to show where is.

The theory makes a lot of sense, and the things BTS have said about this album tie in. I'm curious where you feel Euphoria fits in time-wise, since at the end Jin seemed to have finally healed the other members (while sacrificing his own happiness). Is this MV before Euphoria, or just separate time line?

I don't think Euphoria is the end of it. We've had multiple 'restarts' but they all seem to lead to the same place - even Euphoria. At the end, there's Korean writing that says something like, "Is that it, hyung? Isn't there something more that you're hiding from us?" And then we see Jungkook getting hit by the car. It's very possible that everything repeating in different ways but ending up in, more or less, the same place is just /Jin's/ version of purgatory u.u

I don't think Euphoria is the end either. Its almost like a time loop/parallel universe (see the Japanese Blood Sweat and Tears Video). Like I said it seems like they're constantly being forced to relive their traumas. Even though Jin seems to have traded places with V, he still has the flower in this video which he's now trying to protect (don't know what the flower represents). J Hope is surrounded by Snickers and fairground rides, reminding him of when his mother abandoned him as a child. Sugar is still having to watch his piano burn (I think his house burned down when he was a kid, along with his favourite piano). Jimin is still drowning. Unusually, Jungook now seems to be the one who is separated and trapped, almost as a parallel to Jin in Blood Sweat and Tears. V killed his dad so perhaps that's why he's being punished. Notice his outfit with the white straps kinda looks like chains on a prisoner. Plus the phones around him call back to the phone call he tried to make to RM after killing his dad and at the police station after having been caught. I think each of their relationships with the girls in 'her' fell apart because they didn't love themselves. That's why their outfits and the set looks like a faded, worn out version of the DNA video.

This is my theory, but i keep in lost too😂😂 rm : mirror : reflection Jimin: water: lie ( he in a bathub) Suga: piano & fire ( first love, the piano is burn) Jin: flower in a bottle or i don't know what is that:") he wants to save the flower from anything. Flower? Awake? In i need you japanese ver? V : 10:43 singularity(?) And save me? 5:58 the Save Me is an ambigram which is a word, art form, or other symbolic representation that holds a meaning when viewed or interpreted from a different perspective. Turning it opside down and you'll see the words I'm Fine. It's used to address depression, anxiety and suicide, and it's like having a secret message and illusion, because people can see it as "I'm fine" but in reality that person should be saved at all costs. It is so inspiring that BTS used the ambigram to speak about the real life struggles and mental illness, and it's a great relation to their Love Yourself concept - like a reminder to all of us that we should love ourselves. No matter what the flaws we have and things we are dealing with.

The snickers is symbolic of his mother abandoning him. She left him at the carnival with a candy bar shown in the highlight reels. V is holding the phone because RM never answered after he stabbed his stepdad. RM is staring at his reflection like in Wings short film. Mind boggling, right? Love your reactions!!

The snickers is actually a visual metaphor for his "happy pills" (antidepressants) 'You Aren't you when depressed'! But in reality he keeps needing the snickers (pills) and relies on them so much they make him not himself.. It gives him a false happiness and sense of reality. And he feels trapped because he only feels better taking those snickers.

You gotta hear the whole album! It reminds me of Dark&Wild and a few other new works of BTS. The rapline went off and their collab with Steve Aoki brought out the beautiful voices of the vocal line. It's an amazing album.

For Hobi, his mom left him in an amusement park when he was very young with only a candy bar. So now sweet things remind him of her. It's both a comfort and a torment. For Tae, Namjoon never picked up his phone call, remember? (see the beginning of Prologue, Stigma, Reflection). He's kind of haunted by the whole thing. That's why he golf'd away his phone in the highlight reels. And why, now, even though the phone turned to sand (unusable), he's then /surrounded/ by phones (and photos hanging on the wall - probably reminding him of his troubled family life and what he essentially abandoned when he killed his father.

I was literally just wondering where your reaction was at and here you are!!!!!! YAAAASSSS and dw I have watched all the MVs and read the theories I am still lost there are a lot of us 😘 which is why we have the intellectual army to feed us the info ❤️ they really got me theorizing about their damn clothes too cuz why do RM and Jimin wear the same leopard print??!?!? so if you watch the highlight reel again there's a part at a bus stop and on it is written "I'm fine" but if you flip it upside down it looks like "save me" which is what you see in this MV
