People may say this song doesnt only reflect BTS' experiences but also others'. Yeah that's right but just like you I think that the lyrics are majorly derived from experiences of the members (ofcourse how else so??). Back when they were rookies they wanted to be in top but now that they find themselves there they dsicover that they lose some opporunities a normal person usually possesses. This reflects the usual principle of u gain some u lose some. Some haters would think that the boys never get enough and complain even if theyre already very successful but in my view,im not even pissed that they always talk along these lines in most of their songs because it teaches us about how humans in general always suffer from always losing something. On the side note, I think Taeh's words back in 2013/2014 are becoming their real sentiment, that it's easy to fall down when one is on top. Another is Namjoon's words (also yrs ago) that "Fans only see what they wanna see".

Shadow:I just wanna fly and shine Ego If the shadow shines he becomes stronger and bigger suga is letting us know that he's scared if he fly's cause then the shadow will be bigger to the point where suga can't fight him off. Suga wants all of that but he also doesn't want the consequences There's hidden messages he's trying to tell us but everybody is focused on the beat and not the message the more you guys don't pay attention to the message the more the shadow grows
